Twitter can be an interesting place to voice your opinions, and EA’s Bob Summerwill – a Senior Software Engineer and Architect – has sounded-off there with his thoughts about Nintendo’s struggling Wii U console. His comments, of course, follow EA's admission that it has no Wii U games in development.

According to Summerwill’s LinkedIn page, he’s worked at Electronic Arts since January of 1999, and has previous experience at Psygnosis, which was later purchased by Sony, turned into Sony Liverpool, and subsequently shut down.

I have a feeling EA's going to have a fresh job opening for a Senior Software Engineer soon. :p

Pot calling the kettle black - recent EA games have left a lot to be desired (with the exception of BF3)

I seriously think this will be the last console from Nintendo. It's almost like the Sega thing all over again, soon they'll be relegated to be a game dev only.
They seem to have lost touch with their customers with the Wii U, a console that is only almost on par with the outgoing generation of the competetors consoles.

nintendo is a company that likes to shoot themselves in the foot.

they had the most powerful console in the fifth generation (32bit era) and they decided to use a catridge based media system for their games (lowest capacity, most expensive to produce) (they ended up losing the final fantasy exclusivity licence they had)

Gamecube Sixth generation, they had a console almost as powerful as the original xbox, processing wise it made the ps2 look like a joke (Resident evil remake, Re 4 - looked a shiitload better than the ps2 one, Rogue squadron 3) and they ended up making it look like a kiddies toy and it used mini dvd's which only had a 1.5gig capacity

7th generation, Developed an innovative controller that eventually led to sony and microsoft copying them but then they decided to make the slooooooooooowest console this time around.

8th generation, they decided to make the wii u which should have been the console released during the 7th gen and would have probably given the 360 and ps3 a bigger hiding than what they received with the wii.
