CoD made the jump to futuristic military shooter. What is EA planning with BF4? Yet another modern warfare game? Because really, everyone is totally amped for an upgraded version of BF3. That's so exciting and innovative.

DCWarhound, please open your eyes. You're defending a product whose creators have not only included pay2win, but are also actively disadvantaging players who don't pay for optional content. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about,EA have not yet revealed yet if BF4 will be BC3 or a sequel to 2142 and it won't be released until the end of the year or the start of next year (also Dice made the jump to a futuristic shooter in Battlefield 2142)

Show me the pay to win in BF3,You get the best weapons in the game (m16a3,m416 and AEK) in the vanilla game and at very low levels

All you get from the DLC's are new maps and a few new weapons that aren't as good as the vanilla ones (B2K,CQ are the only DLC's which give a few new weapons)

Activision have been milking Cod for years and now EA tries it and everybody shits their pants ,especially people like you.

Edit:I played Cod4 and MW3,MW3 and the rest aren't worth.Also i don't see you playing BF3 so your argument doesn't hold any weight.(If you played BF3 then you wouldn't say BF3 is P2W)

DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson also confirmed that Battlefield 4 will once again be set in “present times”.

“We still want to stay in this genre, the modern day as it is. We feel this is a place we can be and continue with the series. Battlefield 4 can live in this space and be very successful,” Troedsson added.

Even if it does turn out to be BC3, that's still a modern military shooter swimming in an ocean filled with modern military shooters. If EA had any amount of sense, they'd make a sequel to 2142. But they won't, because it's simply easier to make yet another tired old modern warfare game. They can likely just port the majority of their assets over directly from BF3.

Then as for pay2win; you don't want to work your way up the ranks and unlock weapons and perks like other players? You don't actually want to be good and unlock the jet's perks yourself? Not a problem, just buy it off the Origin store!

Then you've got Premium. Ah, yes. A pack that gives you such perks such as skipping server queues simply because you paid more money than other people. A move that is so much of a dick-move, that 100s, if not 1000s of Premium players have asked for it to be removed.

DCWarhound, you are EA's ideal customer. They have such shady business practices and people like you enjoy their games so much that you simply push your fingers in your ears, whistling the superio mario tune so you don't have to think about what a bunch of scumbags they are. Have fun playing BF3 v1.5 when it releases next year.

You can buy a shortcut kit from the Origin store but seeing as nearly no one buys it,it's not a big deal.Perks are shared within a squad so even if you don't have it unlocked you still get the full bonus from your squad mates.Must have unlock like flairs,smoke,medikit,defib and ammo are unlocked early.You're wasting cash by buying the shortcut kit as it doesn't give you a big advantage.

The server skipping thing is minor because 80% of the players joining the server are premium,also most servers aren't full and joining a poplar one at low lvl will just get you raped.(I am against it but it isn't as serious as it seems)

The principle of the matter is EA is punishing people by giving them less rights to play on servers than other people, simply because they don't want to dole out even more cash when they've already bought the game. That's a shady business practice right there, no matter which way you cut it.

This isn't a question of Premium players getting benefits I don't. This is a question of Premium players getting benefits that take away some of the benefits I previously enjoyed.

Agreed,he makes good points and i agree that EA is money hungry like most companies but Premium really isn't a big deal.

No, it's not entirely how it works. You've already paid for it, you just haven't paid even more on top of it. Now you can't get into your favorite server because there's always a queue and premium members always get in before you.

It's an even bigger slap in the face that server admins weren't given the option to turn queue priority off.

I'm simply not buying another EA game. I'm not one to be treated like a walking wallet and penalized by getting my content restricted when I opt not to buy even more content. But let's leave it at that then.

I feel the same. I still don't feel compelled to buy or have Premium. Sure, there are some nice features (guns, tags, maps etc), but nothing that wants to make me scoop out an extra R350 for such few things. If I'd been given Premium, then I'd care about those things. But, as long as I don't have it; I'm content with my package
