EA talks Battlefield 4

You still don't get it....

Who cares if it's a modern day military shooter,i couldn't even tell if Bo2 was futuristic or modern since all you do is run around in small spaces all day.

I know this is a few posts back but...... LOL thanks for making my day. you said you couldn't even tell if it was a futuristic shooter. And I'll say it AGAIN Black ops 2 made a step in the right direction by giving you more control and letting you choose who to kill and who to save. But you wouldn't know any of this because if I recall correctly you haven't played it yet and said you won't be buying it... Or did you buy it? Nope you didn't. The FACT is your flaming Activision for milking the genre. But EA is doing exactly the same thing. And WORSE! They actually added a cue feature. Ah lovely So if you don't throw money their way you are forced to wait in a cue so you can play on your favorite server. Last time I checked Activision didn't implement a cue feature for Cod.

Yeah, but you know, people are whining unnecessarily when they complain about things that actually affect them in the games they bought, but it's totally fine to whine about a videogame you haven't even played yet. "whistling:

Given his previous posts in this thread; I'd reckon, that goes without saying.

Actually what interests me the most is that he only made his thread after this thread was posted. Why didn't he post it earlier?

I still don't see what the big deal is with the que system, you pay more you get more.simple logic really.

The reason i hate Cod is because you pay for the same thing each time it's released, sure they reskinned a few weapons, added a few maps and made a new singpleplayer but it's heavily overpriced.

Weird thing is that i don't see people complaining about the que system in battlelog, when it was first announced everyone made a big fuss over it.A month or so later and complaints about it is none-existent.

I, 100% agree with your state/opinion on Call of Duty.

True. If you want more; pay for it! Otherwise, quit bitching and move on. If you unable to join a server for whatever reason; head on over to another. People are too easy to place blame.

I, for one - If I can't join a server due to content I don't have, so what, I'll just get another.

I know it sounds like I'm just repeating myself over and over; but I'm trying to prove a point.

And i suppose you play BF3?

Yes. I don't have a habit of bitching about games I haven't even played yet, because I'm smart enough to understand that my opinion is worthless if I want to talk about a game I haven't even played yet.

I don't see how me making a thread about EA screwing existing customers over in response to a thread about them planning a new game makes any sense at all, but I guess it must be fun for you to sit around thinking up all kinds of nonsensical theories.

Saint, I honestly thought you were smarter than this. Really, I did expect you to understand something as simply as this. 'Pay more, get more' is valid when it comes to the extra weapons and unlocks Premium receives. In that case you get more for your money. The queue system, however, is not 'pay more get more,' as you're paying to get something back that got taken away from you, which is equal rights to play on servers.

If you still don't understand it, then I'm sorry. I'm not going to spend any more time trying to convince you of something that's actually really rather simple. Maybe one day you guys will understand why people take issue with these kind of unfair marketing tactics in use by corporations such as EA. More than likely that will only happen when mommy and daddy's money is no longer available to buy games, but you have to pay for them yourself using money you've earned yourself.

Still doesn't seem like you play it,post a link to your battlelog profile.

I guess they don't care when only a handful of people are complaining about it

The only thing premium gives you is a knife, early access to future DLC's,dogtags, strat guides and videos.(the strat guides and videos can be found all over the internet though)
The que system is irrelevant since it's not a big deal, just a minor nuisance for regular players.
You don't get weapons or advantages with premium.

EA isn't the first business to use unfair marketing tactics, things like these are employed all over the world.

Why don't you make a thread on battlelog and we'll see how far this goes, lots of people there who hate EA but the que priority is the last thing anyone cares about.

Posted in the other EA thread:

As a BF3 player, I'll give you a scenario, as it stands now, there are only a few servers (locally) that I play on (I only play Conquest which narrows down the number of servers I can join). One of these servers is an iGame server, so I select the server and I'm placed 1st in the queue (cool story, it's not like I haven't been in 1 before), about 7 minutes go by and all of a sudden I'm 3rd in the queue :wtf:, and endure an 15 minute long wait before deciding it's time to move on after only gaining back the 2nd place in the queue. I browse for vanilla conquest servers with an adequate population size* (I couldn't find any aftermath servers that were populated), this search eventually leads to the Do Gaming Metro 24/7 server (which is full), so I decide I might be lucky 2nd time around (boy was I wrong:rolleyes:), select server-> you are now 1st in queue-> 4 minute wait-> you are now 2nd in queue-> 5 minute wait-> still 2nd in queue -> promptly quit.

I eventually decided to play on a few US aftermath servers (dealing with upwards of 650ms of ping), then went back to the iGame, WAGE, and Do gaming servers much later, once the population had dissipated a bit. All in all I spent 30 - 40 minutes trying to play, but couldn't because of queue priority.

Now, I really love this game, but I can objectively say, queue priority is a very crappy/dodgy thing to tout as a feature IMHO. I definitely get where Graal is coming from. I really doubt that this scenario is unique to me.

*at least 15 players (most of them had 10 players max)

PS: This all transpired this past weekend.

My 2 cents on the matter...

I'm officially relieving myself of this thread.

This is a back and forth argument that's repeating itself with a few changes in every post or two.

I'm tired of agreeing with the both of you, and disagreeing with the both of you AND having my own opinion on this matter. It's exhausting, pointless, and this debate will never end until someone decides to agree with the other.

You 2 have fun. I'm done.:)

Fine i agree to disagree with the agreeable terms of the disagreeable agreeable that EA and Activations are both money hungry and one can not be more evil then the good of the evil one in the land of evil beings were good beings hunt while being chased by evil beings that are being eaten by good beings that look like evil beings but are good.

Wow clearly EA has found a game that is racking in lots of bucks for them! :) but good luck to them the Bf series have been awesome from the start, so the more the merrier I suppose.
