EA's Riccitiello "didn't know anything about games"

Well, sometimes that's ok. I don't know if it is in this case necessarily, but running a company is about more than the products. I've seen numerous cases where people with no prior experience in one industry step into senior management positions and do well simply because solid business principles are universal. It doesn't matter if you're selling cars, insurance or video games.

This guy obviously missed the ball somewhere. His performance was shocking.

I don't know if anyone remembers a show that used to come on called Back to the Floor, where owners and higher level management, particularly the ones that were hired into management were given a week to go work in the company in an entry level position so that they could learn the highs and lows of that position, job etc.
Seems more people should be doing that.
