ebucks and steam

Hey Guys

Does anyone know anyway of using ebucks to buy games on steam or any other digital store?

Also...steam griefs people that use anything other than CC.

e.g. If you use paypal and the transaction bombs then god help you & your steam account.

Nope, Steam isn't based in SA, so that won't be possible.

If Takealot or Kalahari stocks the game (eg. Call of Duty), you can buy that and add the game to your Steam library. But for the lesser indie titles etc, you'd have to use your CC.

I've found that it's cheaper buying some games from Takealot etc, than going the digital route through Steam.

I'm lucky then. Never had a problem and I've had a few Paypal transactions bomb on me from Steam.
However, I'm now considering going the CC way for the eBucks benefits. I think buying from Steam with CC counts as an international transaction so you get reward level points.

Same here, but I'll rather link my CC to my Paypal account and use that for payment. I don't like storing my CC details on sites. With Steam, I use Paypal and on PSN I only use prepaid vouchers.
Using Paypal should still count as international payment. Can't imagine that they'll differentiate between online international transactions and actual in-person swipes overseas.
