The Economic Freedom Fighters was disappointed by some of its members who displayed placards that carried racist messages at its launch, the party said on Tuesday.

"The EFF has learned with great disappointment that some of its members displayed banners with [messages] that seek to portray and reduce this revolutionary movement [as] a racist organisation," the party's Gauteng spokesman Patrick Sindane said in a statement.

According to Sindane, some of...read more here: EFF disappointed by racist messages

Followers are lead by the example set by their leaders, distancing yourself after the fact doesn't change anything.

There is still gonna be some serious kak coming from this grp....who wants to bet the EFF gets their asses kicked out of the political arena as well :D :D seems to be his Modus Operandi!

I'm sad that hate speach like that is allowed in this day and age.

I guess selective racism is okay in todays society.
Unfortunately black on white racism is viewed as a 'slap on the wrist' offence in society. Although its to be expected considering historical white on black racism I guess.

Even myself, if I had to see a white person saying similar things about a black person I would be more disgusted than the other way around.

Yeah, let the protesters get the message out and stir the hate between white and black people and gain the radicals they want; and then come out saying "verry verry dis-ah-pointed" /fake head shaking

Those banners look very official to me, like something the EFF had made, not something that a supported knocked up at home

Some might say the FF+ party is also racist?

So...........................................

I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about a party who constantly plays white people against black people. A party who constantly makes offensive statements about white individuals based solely on race.

Watch this space carefully...I'm inclined to give them the benefit of doubt once off. It smells suspiciously of orchestrated campaign though so I'm def gonna pay more attention to it in future.

@James. I'd like to know where those photos came from. The combination of provocative posters + conveniently photographed?

Maybe. It looks like the image was pulled of the policiticsweb page, so it could go either way...

What is for certain is that Mal-ema knows his to bring in and bar the radicals. Curious to see where he takes this. He'll definitely take a good few votes off cANCer, which will no doubt upset them.

This election will be interesting regardless of how it turns out.

I was thinking the same thing... bit of an explanation here:

Cameron Modisane, an EFF supporter who posted numerous pictures of the launch on his Twitter profile, also responded to some of the outrage on Twitter. He said the banner was created and paid for by the Katlehong branch members.

"This is not to advocate for killing of people but rather equality," he said. "Our greatest enemy within EFF is white monopoly capital."

Julius better get his party under control
