My only worry is that its the Muslim Brotherhood leading this uprising.
 
What everyone should remember is that while these peoples fight against oppression should be commended, this "revolution-syndrome" that seems to be the latest crazy is a slippery slope. Once you let a organisation/party get away with unseating the government it is an act that can never be undone. So these people manage to unseat this "tyrant" who has been in power for 30 years. Now the next one is given power, now he makes a decision the masses, read idiots on the street, dont agree with, they revolt again.

Apply this logic to our own county. What is to stop the masses from protesting their poor living condition, subverting the government but when the new government is unable to improve these condition due to the fact the a large majority of the nation is a) illiterate morons who can get a job and b) a bunch of people who believe it is their god given right to get everything free and you will have "revolution" upon revolution.

I try not to think what it would be like in South Africa because it would be so, so bad. You might as well the country goodbye then. There will be nothing left of it by the end of it all, and you're right, there will be revolutions every year and it will just get worse and worse. :O

What always boggles my mind is why looting always goes hand in hand with these kind of riots. I mean if their cause is just why resort to looting?

What my feeling is, and has been for a long time, is that the majority of the human race needs to be controlled by any-means necessary since they are unable to do it themselves.

I can agree with that. I just think that this is why looting is a part of rioting. There will always be animals in there somewhere, trying to take whatever they can when they see the opportunity.

Too much people in this world. Too little education. Too much bad parenting and the majority could not give a rat's ass. Thus we are all guilty for this that we have made.

And that is why we are in shit. That is what the governments are doing now and look at what is happening.
People need to stop this whole mindset that they need people telling them what to do.

People also need to get out of the mind set that they can take what they want with out working for it.

And yes there are too many people in the world.

People are idiots and lack the ability to govern themselves, which is why looting always accompany the lost of a structured government. Look at post Katrina, post Hati earth quake, post tsunami. There is evidence of this on this very forum, if humanity is unable to govern its self in matters as trivial as a comp on a gaming site how can they be in any other facet of life?

Yes the uneducated masses, for it is they who believe that everything should be handed them on a silver platter, need to understand that if you dont earn something you dont deserve it. But again if people can't even make a meager 40 post a year and then lament the fact that they cant enter a comp what hope have we got of instilling these kind of principles in those teaming uneducated masses.

Well look I am not saying complete anarchy but the government should not have the power it has today. There are allot of things that need to change before life on this rock will be any better. The whole school system needs to change for one. They need to stop using this old prussian system of schooling.
