Emerging markets get half price StarCraft II

There's always a catch isn't there. I do however think it would suit me quite nicely since I'm not much of an online RTS player anyway. Wait, do we still count as an emerging market?

innovation? user friendly? are you people nuts? it's freaking daylight robbery

How is it daylight robbery. If ur just into the Single player buy it for the lower price. If u know ur going to get into the MP buy the more expensive version. The choice is urs, granted u live in an emerging market.

it's a nickel and dime op. nothing more.it may look nice on paper but is it really?

I think its awesome. They are not taking anything away, you can still get the full retail version. Granted, R450 is a little pricey, but it's not all that uncommon. I would buy the cheaper one, if we had the option. I spoke to someone at Megarom, and yes, we are still considered an emerging market, so hold thumbs.

Cool. Im not the biggest Star Craft fan, was never going to buy it at R450, but at this lower price id def consider it.

+1
I for one want just to play the single player. But is this a digital copy?

lol Now still only -998 points to go:)

If you guys think that Blizzard did this out of the goodness of their heart..OMG LMFAO!!:p:D

nah they didn't. This means they will simply sell more units in developing markets.

5000 cheaper titles beats 1000 expensive titles

My only problem those of us trying to be competitive gamers in S.A is the latency. I've been in the SC2 Beta for awhile now and have played alot of matches on both 4mb Uncapped DSL and Neotel, and let me tell you the delay kills me. At a high level of play you look like an idiot trying to micromanage your units with the delay and it takes some predictability, getting a Psyionic storm off is a gamble most of the time, also having Terran harass you early game with reavers they can out manouver you to a rediculous level. Yes you can play with local gamers but then you're playing a custom game and will not be ranked in your league.
I'm holding thumbs that something changes but i'm doubtfull. :( :(

ok let me ask this then. If EA or another publisher tried this. would you still be looking at it with rose tinted goggles?

if you can answer me with a straight face then somethings very wrong with you...

EA doesn't charge R450 for a game.

That is was. But you seem to be under the impression we have forgiven them everything simply because of this new idea. This not the case, i just think this is a step in right direction. Like Joker Said just 999 more steps to go.

Great initiative :)

They're not forcing anyone to purchase this version, and are instead providing choice to consumers. Everyone wins.
