Hey guys.

Does anyone know of a good employment agency that works? Ideally in the Johannesburg, Alberton area.

I'm looking to change careers, not many certifications unfortunately, but willing to learn and also to change career paths from the current IT support related one. Anything except sales.

I've never had any luck with agencies. most of the time they just fucked me around and gave me false hope.
 
Yup, I am. (Should I link here?)

I just dont have many qualifications behind me. My previous IT job I got was sort of because they needed someone urgent and I was chosen. Got thrown in the deep end but learned an insane amount and was really happy for a time. Pay sucked though, MD also, called me into his office once and screamed at me "What this fuck do you think you are doing?" lol, some people that didnt like me was talking crap behind my back. (As a side note, speaking to ppl at my previous job, ppl arent happy with my replacement, called him a "tool".)
Then I got this position through a friend that was told by his friend who worked at a IT outsourcing company they needed someone for my current position, with better pay.

Blah blah blah, bottom line is, I should have never been appointed to this position, it was sheer dumb luck, and now, because of it, whoever looks at my CV, is unimpressed. So ja, stuck and my current boss knows that, when I questioned him on the lower salary than what I was promised, his words were, "You were on contract here, we could have let you go at anytime without notice." i.e. "Sign or fuck off. You are a dime a dozen."
