End of the World: 21st May 2011

The World cannot end on 21 May 2011. I have proof. I have a can of baked beans that expires in 2012. Thereby conclusively proving that we're 100% safe.

One thing I AM peeved off at is that these "doom prophets" are spreading tinfoil-hat theories and then dragging the Word of God into it to try and somehow "prove" their crazy ideas. These people should be shot. They're not doing proper Christians any favors.

Ask ANY Christian - NO ONE knows when the end of the World is going to happen. The Word says that explicitely. So any "Christian" claiming to know the date of the end-of-the-world is not a Christian at all.

Now - bring me my cookies!

What I love are all these conspiracy theorist who refuse to believe in any religion, but gladly latch onto the Bible, of the Koran or whichever suits their need best to prove the end of the world. And also all the non-believers who don't believe in religion aither, but kak themselves when these rumours start every so often.

I'm no longer religious but I seem to remember a Bible verse about the apocalypse that went something along the lines of, "no man knows the day or the hour".

Sigh. This would never happen with the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Yes, there is that line, but the author of this conspiracy (Harold Camping) suggests that it only applies to the church age or pre-tribulation era and quotes 1 Thessalonians 5 as a counter argument.

The Day of the Lord
1 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.

But of course that should probably only be considered if you do hold any religious beliefs, otherwise ignore what he says, because he also states
"I know it's absolutely true, because the Bible is always absolutely true."
which makes him a bit of a fucktard.

And the followers prob have to "donate" their worldly goods. Sigh more scams on fools.

What nutters. But wait, there's a mistake, the year 0BC or 0AD. So 4990BC can also be -4990AD and the world will end... LAST YEAR!!!

So we are all dead!! LOL

Sorry that should have been -4990AD. Had it like that before the page bombed out and reloaded.

If we take the BC dates as negative and the AD ones as positive the world should have ended in 2010. They seem to have forgotten basic maths and that there is also a year 0.

Well ... not really, since the Anno Domini dating system doesn't have a year 0. 1AD followed immediately after 1BC. This is also why everybody who celebrated the turn of the millenium was technically wrong, since the new millenium actually only started on 2001.

I'm stacking up on hollow points for the Zombie comming. So come crash at my house and we'll have zombie steaks for braai.

On a more serious note. There are a few passages in revelation that state the world will only end the moment it seems things can't get any more peaceful.

And when thats done, I'll be the Anti-Christ and drag you all down to come yiff in hell with me.

Can't eat zombie steaks, they are infected with the T-virus. ;)

Revelation does not state an end of the world per se. It mentions the old heaven and earth replaced by new ones. Astronomers are seeing the universe expanding. Expanding to what? For something of infinite complexity perhaps?

That is only a thousand years after Christ returns. But nobody can make the prediction when that will be. It will probably not be on a date where there is a prediction and will likely be when nobody made a prediction. The bible says believers will not be caught unawares but not that they will know. It's like having a fire extinguisher in your house and there is a fire. You will be safe but you don't know when there will be a fire.

My birthday is May 24th and id really like to have that... can't we delay dooms day by a few days.. maybe a week? hey? yeah I think that is acceptable. :)
