Labels are for people who read manuals.

Then you are non-existent because any word would describe you, your beliefs or some other characteristic about your person. "Person," can I call you that? Or do you prefer not to identify as anything?

Sorry, but I've just always had to roll my eyes at that, "I don't conform to labels" nonsense when a "label" is nothing more than a description that saves the time it would've taken for you to describe a pre-established and readily available label used by countless others who believe the same as you. There are even "labels" which go into greater detail.

Regardless, if labels are for people who read manuals then non-characterisation is for the illiterate.

I dont care what you believe as long as youre a good person and you treat people with respect.

I would agree but unfortunately belief and compassion to others rarely go hand-in-hand.

I love how every time I see an intolerant, hateful person with stupid arguments, they're almost always religious.

I hate to burst your bubble but in the greater aspect we are nothing. Ife has no meaning in the greater aspect in life. I mean this world explodes who is going to give a fuck? We are the size of a grain of sand out here in the universe.
God would

So your reasoning for people being abusing murderous thieving rapists is no one would care if the world blew up ?

Intolerant and hateful of hypocrisy, bigotry and self-righteous lulwtf, yes. Stupid arguments? Hm, yes, I guess arguments from someone who doesn't believe in rapture, stoning, sacrifice, prayer, miracles, evil black cats, tarot, witchcraft, satanism, angels, demons, muti, astrology, palm-reading, homoeopathy, powerbracelets, the boogeyman, spirits or some personal selection of these would seem pretty stupid, eh? Something to do with blinkers, I guess.

God would

Of course he would. So would my spiritual friend, Bob. You can't ask him so you can't disprove it, you'll just have to take my word on that but don't worry, it's all conveniently written down in the indisputable Word of Bobgod, so it must be true.

I'm getting complaints about this thread, and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, so tone done the aggression or it gets locked.

Im saying hes labeling me as a creationist , but I believe in darwin's theory of evolution and I also believe in the big bang , why would you want to label me ?
You "believe in" it? Strange. I think it has enough of a scientific basis to not require the need for belief. Perhaps I'm nitpicking on semantics here :)

As for "why?" It saves effort.

I understand your point, however. You're not purely a creationist, albeit you believe in creationist evolution :p

So I need to label you ?
*shrug* Sure, I guess you could call me an Agnostic Theist, yo.

I'm open to possibility. I like fantasy, so I'm cautiously optimistic that there might be more to existence but I'm hardly holding my breath and I'll be damned if I'm going to say something unfounded that smacks of crazy is true.

*shrug* I'm done.

Always amusing that people who don't like what they read can't just... oh, I dunno... walk out of the thread and ignore it :)

So much for preaching "tolerance" lol.

You're missing that it was in reply to a post that happens to be just as intolerant as the so-called intolerance it was pointing out. Irony if you will. You can believe whatever you want, there's no reason for people to be this intolerant of each other. It's usually the people pointing out this intolerance that happen to be intolerant themselves. Blinkers yes. ;)

Reciprocal intolerance; intolerance of intolerance, if you will.

I have no reason to tolerate the likes of Neo, people who look down on others while conveniently ignoring their own blatant lows and obvious flaws to the eyes of others, so I won't :)

The rest is just an early-morning banter that serves no real purpose but in and of itself.

Consider it... babbling :)

What people are missing is that whatever a person believe it remains just that - a belief. There is no basis in fact fro anything anyone believes or else they would say they know.

Verifiable evidence negates the necessity of belief.

Claim requires evidence, the onus is on the claimant to provide evidence.

Evidence ("pseudo-evidence" not withstanding) for the legitimacy of any religious belief or otherwise in the supernatural is.... 0%.

I ask anyone to prove that incorrect. I'd be quite chuffed to see even a smidgen of the supernatural. The world could use some magic in it.

Excuse me if I have limited sympathy for bigots. I realise that's also intolerant, of course, but it's the useful kind.

Also, your response - which can pretty much be summarised as "NO U" - wasn't perhaps as insightful and clever as you might originally have thought. It also, ironically, undermined your point completely. Lol?

Off-topic but... evidence is all interpreted so nobody can claim that something is proven beyond a doubt. What's evidence for you isn't for somebody else and vice versa.

So because there are people making false claims religion shouldn't be believed. Sorry to burst your bubble but scientists make false claims. So obviously science shouldn't be believed, it is false, it is BAD for you. Don't take another pill then ever and if you do get sick don't go to the doctor, you are better off staying just where you are. ;)

You are missing the point completely. It is easy for you to make such a statement but then I see exactly the same behaviour from non-religious people. It doesn't help to point it out all the time though as you just end up being seen as that intolerant hateful non-religious person.

Just for interest sake you were replying to Neo who replied to Lycan who was actually displaying that intolerance towards Neo. So your limited sympathy for bigots should actually go to Lycan in this case. ;)

Er.. Evidence that is the same regardless of perspective is not subjective. A mathematical equation is irrefutable. Truth is irrefutable. Existence is irrefutable. Gods? The supernatural? Subjective psychobabble that tries to justify itself as "truth" but somehow fails repeatedly.

No, because religion in its entirety is a false claim is why it should not be believed. Because religion is subjective, because it is an individual's warped, brainwashed and groomed ideology is why it should not be believed.

As for the doctor reference, I think it is you who has missed the point entirely. You're babbling incoherence to make a point that has no bearing on or relation to what you've written.

*shrug* I don't care. Your take on the whole "who started it" jig doesn't really faze me largely because my conscience is clear. It's simple: Push enough buttons and eventually someone's bound to retaliate.

I don't consider this a personal grievance nor do I consider it worth expending too much effort and time on. I just enjoy pointing out hypocrisy and, if doing so somehow means that I'm being an intolerant hypocrite in return for being intolerant of intolerance and reciprocating that in a sort of eye-for-an-eye fashion then, oh well, I guess people have long ago lost their sense of irony.

Here's a deal: I'll get rid of my sense of arrogance and antagonism the moment it's no longer needed that I deal with lowbrow self-righteous bigots who quite literally think that they're God's gift to mankind and worthy of judging others.

Just for interest sake you were replying to Neo who replied to Lycan who was actually displaying that intolerance towards Neo. So your limited sympathy for bigots should actually go to Lycan in this case. ;)

Thank you for displaying an absolute lack of understanding of the content before you. Rock on.

And the only thing you can mention that's irrefutable is maths, a human invention go figure.

Thanks for calling me brainwashed...

Interestingly enough you "retaliate" against something that was not directed at you and had nothing to do with you. His other comments here are much along the lines of everybody else's. Just love personal forum grudges. :D

I lol when someone has to resort to a person's nick as the only thing to attack them.
Coming from someone who doesn't believe but calls himself Prophet it's mildly ironic too.

Should I rather call him dick ? or would you prefer fuck ? What's wrong with noting someone's nick's relation to other things ?

Person attack is more in the lines of:
Prometheus how is halicon's arse working out for you ? moist and soft ?

vs
coming from someone who goes by kerbyross... i lol'ed a little ;)
