Just had another outage from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and it is destroying the takeway businesses as they make their money during this time.
I used to have best load shedding times. Then people started complaining that the schedule is racist. Now my area's times have changed. 18:00 to 20:30. I get home that time. Living on takeaways now. I should sent Eskom the bill for my future heart surgery. Probably die because the hospital wont have power. But that's not racist. OK, I'm done now.
I can't believe this thread is still alive.
Well instructions are difficult to follow !![]()
And how is it working out for you? Noise? What are you powering? Can it run a 780ti setup and a 42 inch LED tv for those long BF4 sessions? I was thinking of getting one too but not sure if it's worth it.got myself a 1 kva generator this weekend, so over eskom and their erratic schedule![]()

Normal genny or one of those that's safe for electronics? I got a 3.5kVa one in November, and eventually got loadshed over the weekend, so only got around to using it properly now. Used it for my TV, console, speaker system and a few lights for about 3 hours, and must say quite impressed. The 5.7l tank only needed about a 3l topup this morning, so looks like I'm using 1l per hour on that load. Thinking of getting some kind of setup for the lights though to work independent of the generator.
I thought about getting a generator in case the power dies, but how long will there be power to pump pertol?
Hopefully there is a cheaper Solar option strong enough to power a freezer. ---- !
