Evolve? - Can someone confirm

I have not been following the game that closely but the $99 Evolve Monster Race Edition over at GMG had my scratching my head. ffs, not even the new GTA for PC is asking that much. Of course it comes with extras but $99? I loved L4D, but I'm not getting this, perhaps 2 years down the line for $5 or something, but screw this. Do devs and publishers exist in a different reality than ours? Where bullshit is lapped up greedily?

My problem is that it come with "extras". A few years ago this would be on the disc or come in a free update...
 
They should take pointers from Rockstar.

"Yes, we will charge a good buck for our game, but, all our DLC is and will be free... and we'll keep 'em comin'".
