Ex-Diablo III tester (supposedly) discusses game, thinks it sucks

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and call BS. First, no NDA would not cover post-employment, especially one compiled by a team of superlawyer like those at Bliizard. Second, D3 "boring"? Pffffffffft!
 
meh, it's possible that he's telling the truth, but i'm not going to believe this.

As Avatar mentioned, he's under NDA. Not to mention Blizzard has had 20 years of experience in game development, they would've found that loophole by now.

If he really was a Blizz employee, I can see why he was fired. Calling the game "sh*t" and "boring" may point out short-comings, but does nothing to help improve the game. In other words, he was a fail tester who couldn't provide constructive feedback.
 
as crap and unbelievable as this sounds, the anti-blizzard person inside me hopes so much this is actually true :D
 
Yes, let's believe the disgruntled former employee. I'm sure he has no ulterior motives other than to look after our interests.
 
It's a pity we didn't see any feedback on the first 3 digits of the EID question - it would lend a little more credibility (or not) to the story.

I'm not calling it either way - I'll adopt a wait and see approach for this one.

Ya agree. But it just seems BS or if not he probably did something stupid and was fired and now he wants to get back at Blizzard.

D2 lvls were the exact same way >.< its either small sqaure rooms linked togeather or one massive square area. So basicly all he is saying that u wont have to spend 10 mins traveling in a2 just to get to that next area. Cause in the end he says the areas are not as big as they were in d2….. as big buddy? dude, everyone and there mom just had a sorc tele and use tps. they wanted to get away from that. ugh this guy is so dumb lol, its no wonder why blizz fired him.

This guy is also not taking into account hes playing the game in alpha, so of course the bosses are gonna be ease for testing purposes. as for loot sucking…. d2 release loot compared to end pre xpac and compared to end game xpac had huge gaps. of course the loot wont be "uberly impressive" at start.

I for one find his story beleavable but hes not taking alot of stuff into consideration. which is what blizzard saw and which is why he was clearly fired.

ive played both d2 and torchlight and thought both were excellent games. Combining elements of both games will just equal 100% win. and for the record, in my opinion torchlight was for the most part an exact rip off of diablo 1/2 except it didint have multi player. (and yes im aware it was made by the orignal makers of diablo)

Overall, treat this guy like you would about someone qq'ing about WoW sucking. out of millions of players that like the game and will like d3, he is in that 10,000 number who's opinion does not and will never reflect the majority of players. Tis a ton he is not taking into consideration.

My only regret is reading the story spoilers since that is the only thing that is 100% true in my opinion since it makes logical sense the story would go that way.

Besides, like anything this guy has to say will actually prevent the thousands & thousands & probably millions of Diablo buying the game.

Personally it makes not difference to me, as I have never played either Diablo and can't really see my self getting into them, but I think this guy is either a disgruntled employee or an irate fan. Either way, who cares, except maybe his mom?
 
This guys a dumbass of note. It's normal to start praising your former employer's "excursions". Think I'll decide for myself when the game hits shelves.
 
The only thing I agree with is the announcement of beta at this year Blizzcon. I reckon the game will be awesome based on my opinion not the opinion of some prick
 
I should probably mention that I will very definitely be canning myself if this whole story turns out to be true - especially for those who are lashing into the guy :D

Remember, we have no proof one way or the other at this particular point.

Yeah but you can't prove that my friends's sister is married to the uncle of the guy who goes to school with the cousin of John who is pretty tight with the guy who does pizza delivery for the company next door to Blizzard. And those people are friends with the developers who may or may not have said that this guy is talking smack coz he is a dumbass that Blizzard have never heard of.
Difficult to prove either way but chances are he is talking shit. So ultimately it comes down to how much does one trust Blizzard. I trust them a lot and millions do which means they are good at their jobs so to come up with an unrushed sequal that is crap doesn't seem right.

You obviously didn't read my initial position on this. I'm not picking sides. At all - despite the fact that I would love to because personally I hate Blizzard. But - no proof that he's lying. No proof that he's telling the truth. So it's a 50/50 chance.

Being 4-chan, you can expect the tale to spread, so there's going to be a lot of debate and a lot of folks picking at the details of his expose. The truth will come out eventually. Before Blizzcon 11, with any luck.

I did hence my first word being "yeah". What I was saying was I agree with you but I would say the chances are higher that it somebody talking shit because they are say some upset fan or something. I personally trust Blizzard and wouldn't take this guy's word for a bar of soap. And I am pretty sure Blizzard would sue this guy so much that I don't think anybody would be stupid enough to leak that information. Either very dumb or a liar.
