How about linking facebook accounts to mygaming accounts
But still having the option to Hide your facebook details when your on mygaming
Then once you've linked it together you will be recognized as a legit non-smurf user, and from there you can be allowed to post?

This can actually work. I would say this is a good idea

Some people don't use facebook though, and surely people could use a "fake" FB account? Someone would have to manually check every persons page to assess if it's real or not.

If they really want to root out cheaters, maybe they should make the rules something like everyone who has already had X number of posts in the previous week or month can enter.

I agree not everyone uses a facebook, but a good amount of people who use the internet know about it, maybe you could use alternative methods of verification? (eg, twitter,facebook,myspace...etc)

It's also a lot more stressful to create a facebook account and a mygaming account and link it up everytime you want to post, and more work for the smurfers usually means less smurfers ?

We might just end up with a lot more very wacky posts. Not that I'm against wacky posts but it does screw with the flow of the thread. Like Prophets gog.com thread.
