F1 2016 has been announced, the eighth installment in Codemasters' Formula One racing series. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next season.
According to Lee Mather, principal games designer at Codemasters, F1 2016 "will have more features than any other year of the franchise."
At the heart of this, says Mather, is F1 2016's new career mode, which lets you pick an avatar, number, team, and earn contracts throughout a career that can last up to ten years in-game.
A new street circuit located in Baku, Azerbaijan is also making it into F1 2016, along with recreations of the Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car. There will also be a number of "off-track" features, like a Player Agent and Research and Development Engineer for tracking progress.
