Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is coming to Steam

Looks like the new thing is remastering old titles. I am not complaining, I personally love the memories.

A remastered edition of David Cage's 2005 adventure Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy as it's known in North America) is getting a remastered edition for PC and Mac.

Leaked on Amazon [since removed], this spruced up HD edition, dubbed Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered, is due on 29th January and will cost $9.99 (about £7) for a Steam key.

This remastered version will feature enhanced visuals that can be toggled on or off along with full controller support and a "fully orchestrated" soundtrack.

It's worth noting that this is an uncut version of the game (i.e. the European version) as the North American release censored a sex scene upon initially getting slapped with an AO [Adult's Only] rating. This version is rated the much more common M [Mature], suggesting that the US ratings board, ESRB, has became a little more lax over the years. Though this didn't stop it from giving Hatred an AO.

I guess this is what their teaser site www.achillingfeeling.com is counting down to, although I'm kinda hoping it's actually the announcement of a sequel and the remaster is being released as a catch up for those that never played the original. Seems strange to create a site and count down to a simple upscaling of a 10 year old game. Wouldn't mind a sequel if the story is good. The original became a bit wtf towards the end.

I loved Fahrenheit back in the day! However the remastered one must look amazing for me to actually play it again.

I loved this game. I'll get it, stop whatever I'm playing now and play this first. I only managed to get hold of this game a couple of years ago via GOG so by then the graphics was already quite dated.

Would love a sequel but highly doubt that we'll get one. Quantic Dream isn't really known for releasing sequels. In fact, I read an article once where one of the game creators said that there is no sequel coming... They told the story they wanted to tell and that's the end of it. (I'm paraphrasing of course)

I actually still have my original on disc :D never finished it though :( but i liked it it was something different back then

I never played the original, so this interest me.

All these remasters of old games are coming out so close to each other: Resident Evil HD, Grim Fandango, Homeworld and now this. Guess people are finally starting to wake up :D

Daaamn. 15GB according to the Steam page. Even for a remastered 2005 game that's quite hefty.

I have no clue what this game is.

It is very similar to Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, but with much more dated graphics. Good story with similar gameplay and mechanics as the other two.

I only started the game up briefly and aside from the main screen, I didn't really notice much difference between this and the original's graphics. Will compare in more detail when I have the time. The controller support makes it quite nice though. Don't think the original game had that... or maybe I just didn't have a controller back when I played it last. It is one of the few games that I can actually manage to play with a controller.

Well i bought the atari bundle back in the day that came with games like Boiling Point, Act of War,GTR, Gettin Up and neverwinter nights but can't seem to find the keys now :(
