Fall Out Boy to release their own Flappy Bird game
Flappy Bird's effect on the world has no limits
"Fall Out Bird" will feature the likeness of Pete Wentz and company; coming to iOS and Android this week.
Rock band Fall Out Boy will release their own Flappy Bird game called "Fall Out Bird," the group has announced on its website. The game was created in one day and will be available for iOS and Android this week (just as soon as it's approved).
"Rome wasn't built in a day, but this game was," the band said on its website. "Shoutout to the OG Flappy Bird, RIP."
While the original Flappy Bird had players controlling a nameless bird, Fall Out Bird will allow you to navigate the game using the four members of the band. Presumably, the game will be free and feature the band's music.
Fall Out Bird is not Fall Out Boy's first foray into gaming. The group previously released Fall Out Trail, based on the popular Oregon Trail.
Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen removed the game from app stores worldwide over the weekend because it was too addictive. Fall Out Bird is not the first clone to come on the scene, as iTunes alone is stuffed with imitators.
