Fallout 4 announcement in five days?

Jeez I cleared a whole nest of death claws with a shotgun and mercy(auto grenade launcher)

Yeah, normally Deathclaws are not a problem for me (character is lvl 45 IIRC), but these ones seem to be some form of "super" Deathclaw. No matter how many times I try I cannot kill all 3 of them and considering the fact that all 3 attack me at once, I never survive.

Mmmm. I never had that problem I know alpha dc's are harder to kill. But if they normal then I don't know maybe its a bug? maybe lower the difficulty to get past it.

Yeah, I've thought of lowering the difficulty or using TGM to get past them, but I can't get myself to do it. Will probably start a new game somewhere between now and the release of F4 and just finish the DLC then.

What difficultly are you playing on?

Can always try using AP ammo, maybe you go hollow point selected by mistake.

Nothing like a missile or fatman in a deathclaws face though.

Not too sure about the difficulty but I think it's the default setting (haven't played the game in a very long time, but I remember being stuck there very clearly). Don't think I have a missile or fatman, my character was more focused on charisma and intelligence based skills (speech, science, medicine, etc.). Think my strength and agility are both at like 3 or something :p. I managed to finish all the other DLC though. I should actually try it again sometime, maybe I was just doing something wrong.

I remember managing to kill the one Deathclaw with AP rounds but as soon as he's dead the other 2 or on me in an instant and I'm dead.

I tend to just blow them to pieces by putting mines and others explosives all over the place before getting their attention and making them run at me. Then if any are still alive I just gun them down with a high powered rifle with AP bullets, perhaps using V.A.T.S. if I'm far enough away.

Otherwise, could use a stealth boy and sneak past, maybe. But crouch and move slowly. Helps to have a few stealth boys on hand.

I gave the Android's identity to Zimmer, why? Its a robot, how is it slavery? The new game will probably make siding with The Institute the Bad Karma choice, and that sucks.

I did both options in two playthroughs and it didn't affect the story much for me at that point. I didn't pay much heed to what it meant but I did begin researching into it once I played New Vegas and met more synths.

If Harkness went through the trouble to escape the Commonwealth and The Institute, have plastic surgery and a mind wipe to forget what happened there, it must have been pretty messed up. When he learns he's an android he immediately goes down to the science lab to speak to Dr. Li, whom he knows has experience with synths and what happened in The Institute. Plus, he became sentient and self-aware, which was not part of his programming.

I also think, now that I read the morse coded message, that Harkness must have escaped by killing damn near everyone in The Institute. Given New Vegas' character-focused storyline, I would definitely look forward to playing as Harkness, or a synth that he set free.

Good point, Could make for some interesting upgrades.

Dam so excited for the game can't wait to see what they are or are not announcing.

A death claws remember me of a time when I planted a line of mines and let them run after me to get blasted by it :D

With 50 levels its possible to level up most of your skills bar 2 or 3, I started out focusing on strength and intelligence, the rest where average. As well as guns, science, repair and lock picking, ended maxing out everything but sneak, unarmed and melee. No cheating, on normal difficulty. Deathclaws are only a problem when they have you cornered ;)
I used this formula for both game, I don't die much.

I'm busy playing New Vegas on my PS but finished Fallout 3 on my PS3 so could not continue with my same character. Had to start from scratch. Still a great game with good story and characters. This announcement rumor is getting me all giddy. :-)
