Fancy a headset worth R768, 000: the Sennheiser Orpheus

Whats the point. I get expensive headsets, but somewhere round the 3k mark I doubt you'll get much real benefit beyond that. (or say 10k if you're an audio snob :p)

If you ever have the opportunity to experience sound at this level go for it. My dad's been into this stuff most of his life and while his equipment isn't as good as the Orpheus, it's still very nice.

Most of the good stuff in there starts @ R100,000, and you need more than one piece of kit to build a complete system. You even get things like electricity filters. My dad swears that he can hear electrical interference.

Anyway, all music (but especially what you get on SACDs) sounds amazing with that gear. A totally different experience.

That isn't a steam punk vibe. That's the nature of tube amps.

Those tubes get extremely hot and it helps to dissipate the heat. One of the reasons for its design.

I Know what the VALVES are for yes. I am talking about the design. It was made to look like their first headset as stated in the article, hence the design :)
 
Like any Amp with Valves (Tubes) They actually need to warm up before use, otherwise they will blow
