Fermi specs and prices officially confirmed.. and they're not pretty.

But if ATi release there Northern Islands GPUs by year's end (or early next year), Nvidia will be playing catch-up AGAIN.
But hey, its better than having no competition at all.

sigh...

Fudzilla is now reporting 480 shaders. So now they've gone from 480, to 512, back to 480.

Over it. Can the damn thing come out already?

Edit: While Fudzilla's post is new, it looks to me like they're working off the same rumour that came off the mill that everyone else was, BEFORE the VR-Zone news broke. I think Fudzilla is just a little behind on this one, and 512 shaders is still the more "current" info.

Update: Fudzilla are now claiming as fact the following:

1. Nvidia, as rumoured, have disabled one cluster of shaders to cut down the TDP, so Fermi is now at 480 shaders and not 512.

2. This worked, and the official TDP of the card is now 250W, still somewhat higher than the 188W of the 5870, but no longer in 5970 country.

Fudzilla have also broke news of some real-world benchmarks leaked by Arab site arabhardware.net, which are surprisingly better than the 5-10% originally expected. Check them out in the other thread.
