Console sales are bigger for almost each and every platform. It isn't confined to sports games fans.

Because if the used the 360 port, far too many fans would not be able to run the game. Sports games are usally aimed at sports fans, not core gamers. Most sports fans don't have top of the range pcs. Thus EA make more sales by using the PS2 port for pc.
They lose sales because people know that PES on PC is a superior product. Unless ofcourse their business model is to target ignorant people and ill informed grand parents in order to sell an inferior product. But, I guess if that makes more money then trying to maintain customer satisfaction then you can't blame them.
