so last night i finally did a starter quest which takes you out of town and keel dem funky mosquito. what i do like about ff14 is that it actually feels like you are getting involved over other more "generic mmo's". for example where a quest is given like zomg we need to do X and Y and that is it vs in ff14 you can clearly read the body language and facial expressions. this then gives of the feeling that something is not right and the actual urgency over some blank npc.

only thing that is irritating me is the damned aviation mouse mode, which is hardcoded. i believe that will be taken out and at least an option to go normal or inverse. seriously that is just wacked :D

sigh well then, saturday is next 4 hours alpha test block. then i would try do some actual actual testing over getting my initial starting quests done if it is at all possible. though i am still getting used to ff14's way of play :)

and so testing ends for the night... well i left earlier. finished up the starter quest tonight and was rewarded with 2k gil :D. another neat thing i think (if i understand it correctly) is the ability to stack your magic and at a certain stacked level it can be used for more powerful attack. well that is what it looked like as the two "killer rats" approached me and i keeled one of then instantly :D.

still no full screen and normal/aviation mode for mouse. hope that gets changed soon as i'm currently playing with the keyboard only. mouse just too damned fast and aviation is not my thing.

still, for an alpha it is not so bad as i excepted it to be. it stands as i said, it's more polished as MO's 'release' client is. another thing is after playing abit of the alpha fallen earth seems so... blant. guess i'm getting hooked on this over the "normal" mmo's out there. this is definitely so far going on my to play list when it hits release. though that also can change in time as the alpha progresses into beta ;) there is also that Rift mmo in my other thread which i'm looking out for the beta signups.
