Pretty cheap for one of the best games of all time.. will probably pick it up just for nostalgia although got the PS1 version on my PS3. This will probably look better though, also read that there were a few graphical improvements(minor). Can anyone comment on that?

Still disappointed that they won't put in some effort to improve the gfx so that it looks modern. The game was so awesome and I think it deserves to be remade on the newer generation machines.

I disagree. The game is fine as it is, no point in remaking it.

I've got the game on PC, PS1 and on the PSN as well, so there's no point for me to buy it again at this point. If it was on steam, I might have considered it.

They did actually to an extent, it supports DX9 now where the original PC launch only supported DX7 (actually think it was 5)

With out a doubt the overall best Final Fantasy's and RPG's ever for me.
Clocked it 100% back in the day on PS1..took me well over 120 hours but it was all worth it.

Looking forward to checking out the remake.

FF7 was the only Final Fantasy game I could really get into and enjoy, thought it was very impressive for it's time and a game that needed that many CDs had to be awesome hahaha.

Still I'm not sure I'll ever replay it even if it's updated for newer systems, games like FF7 which are great in memory seldom live up to the nostalgia when revisiting them. Last time I tried to replay it I only got an hour or two in.

Why not just download the iso's + psx emulator with enhanced shaders + larger resolution?
It'll look even better than the update square has to offer..
