Where to start , ....................You know I love comics and games and movies about comics and games a lot more than the average Joe
And I have been ever so grateful for the Idea (and I say Idea) of having my fav hero's on the silver screen
In 3D and what not , and truth be told not many of this stuff has translated well ,thing is for the better part of the last decade the industry has shifted in to this Mutant /Superhero mode even TV has suffered the same fate giving us crap like the new show the Nine lives of Chloe terrible but back to the cookie cutter movie's
The seemingly endless lets reboot this , or lets reboot that
We see stupid Giant robots , Green rings , red and blue shields and rubber or Iron (actually and titanium poly carbonate blah blah blah ) Suites filling our screens
And I was forced to think hey WTF is this why I pay money , is this what I pay to see
And the Line was drawn in my mind , I am never going to be a Gazillion Billionaire (take your pick DC or Marvel ) that will take my cash and decide to create a cool suite and then fly around everywhere , no purple alien is going to magically give me a awesome Ring all this falls in the realm Of fantasy and while it does have its place in modern pop culture over saturation is making me resent it in stead of Awe at the awesomeness of what I am seeing that a few years ago I would never have imagined seeing .
Now I want escapism cause fantasy just isn't cutting it , and with that I have found a Movie that will no doubt be a box office hit but not for the Obvious reasons , it will be a hit because it isn't a Super hero team up , it is not the Dark Knight , it isn't Giant robots it is not a REBOOT (not entirely true but meh I never saw or will see the original show )
What it does have is
Action (some very mindless )
Hot babes
Hot Guy (this for the ladies reading )
Awesome Car
Very cool set pieces
and lastly it has the ability to save me from the endless onslaught of crap .... FYI Fast Five does not count incase your thinking .
