First person shooter

Hi guys I am a huge fan of first person shooter games, its been a while since I had a PC but I used to play lots of Quake, AVP, Red faction, I was wondering what first person shooters are out in the market at the moment and what would you recomend

Also check out the new Call of Duty - modern warefare 2 and Black ops. Both have great single player campaigns.

Play both. Crysis 1 was a drab shooter with an open-ended approach to situations, Crysis 2 was an excellent shooter with a linear approach to everything.
 
Crysis and Crysis: Warhead can be had for about R50 each now, so grab them and then do Crysis 2.

Edit: Warhead is just like Crysis (running parallel with the events of Crysis) except it's actually fun :p

The whole Crysis Series of games. ( Will run epically without any lag on you're new rig )
Call of Duty MW2 and Black ops.
Singularity. Little bit different but still a brilliant game.
 
The whole COD series. I have from COD 2 upwards. Busy playing blops now and have been for the past few months. Awesome FPS.

Killzone is mad! Played it on my mates PS3 and its full of action. I just prefer the whole army fps games like BF and COD more.

I have to disagree with that. Show me two things Crysis 2 does better than Crysis (1)!
 
I picked up Far Cry 2 on the current sale from Steam. It's quite fun, nice sandbox shooter. Check it out.

While you're at it just get Half-Life and all it's bastard children..... Still worth it even now.

Anybody got Half-Life Source yet? I'm eyeing it, but at 70 bucks, but I'm not sure I'm willing to buy it just for the graphics overhaul. Don't think I'll be able to play through the entire game again. :P

graphic overall ? graphics are exactly the same as half life 1 ! only difference is the skyboxes are changed and the physics is a bit different but graphically its a 1.1 clone of half life 1

Rather wait for Black Mesa Source. Hasn't had much of an update in a while, but they're still active.
Looking forward to try it myself.
