I wouldn't say I'm a huge boxing fan but I do watch it from time to time. This caught my eye today. I've personally been wanting to see Mayweather get laid out for some time. Everyone thought Pacquiao was the man to do it but it doesn't look like that fight will happen. Alvarez has a record that is just about as good as Mayweather's and he's much younger.

The fight is on Sunday. Hope I can remember to watch it.

Thats an insane amount of money!
 
I read that his earnings for the year will total in excess of $73 million. That's probably an estimate and he'll end up with more.
 
Alvarez might have "hands of cement", but his moves are nowhere near as good. Like trying to swat a fly. I think he may actually be too young. If he had a few more years of experience, he might have stood a better chance of winning.
 
His upper body was also quite still where as Mayweather bobs and weaves and his body is always moving. Alvarez threw so many punches that didn't land or didn't have much effect (to the shoulders or chest).
