I've only ever had one flu shot and ja I ended up getting flu but ever since then I have never caught full blown flu, probably a sniffle here and there with a slight cough but nothing ever serious :)

I get my flu shots yearly, the few times Ive skipped it I found I got really sick and stayed sick for longer. The years I get the shot I normally get a cold after the shot that lasts a few days and its gone.

I dont really have a choice tho, since I suffer from chronic sinusitus and the flu jab helps to prevent me getting sick and with the sinusitus I get sicker if I get the flu on top of that.

They have shots for FLU?!
What will they think of next ?

Seriously though, if you can manage to inject me with anything, I'm probably already dead

its a Nay for me.... i have never had one and harldy ever get flu. this year was the first time i had the flu properly

Never had shots. Get a runny nose and cough. It happens. All a flu shot can do is try to guess which strain will be the most popular. Murphies law you get some other strain.

Yay for me.

Though I forgot to get one this year. Whether they help or not, well that I don't know but I like to believe that they do.

i get 1 if my medical aid pays for it :D

and i also get sick afterwards ... so i get to use my leave days ... win win situation if you count getting sick as win :)

Big nay for me!
I don't usually get the flu and the one and only time I went for the stupid ass shot I got sick 4 times in the first 2 months following the dam thing.
I haven't gone for it since and have not had any problems since, again.

I had the compulsory flu shot when I was in Primary School. Can't really remember getting sick after that from that particular season strand of the flu.
So I reckon its a good thing

Getting injected multiple strains of flu is good ?

I have never had flu injections and barely get the flu, if I do it is once a year and for a week so not worth having the injection and I hate injections.

Mostly just get usual sinus colds with sore throat

I reckon it helps if you get it early, before you get sick. Then you build up the resistance. If you get it once you've already got the live virus, likely it'll just knock your immune system even more and you'll get even sicker

Waste of time and money, if you ask me.

The best thing you can do for your immune system is to eat healthily so that even if you do get ill, the time it takes to recuperate is minimal.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger is the philosophy. They inject a weaker version so your body knows how to fight the big version of the virus.

still doesn't make it good, I could with the same thinking stick my hand each month onto a hot plate as it doesn't kill me...

No, I mean that each year the strand of flu changes, so each year its a different injection to the previous one. If I am not mistaken. 1 injection once a year
syndication got to make money.
