still doesn't make it good, I could with the same thinking stick my hand each month onto a hot plate as it doesn't kill me...
Well, it'd kill any germs on your hands, at least :p

exactly my thoughts.

:) Well, don't get me wrong, if there's ever a need to take a vaccine then sure, I have no problem with that. But for flu? People get ill once in a while, it's normal.

Also, I don't get ill often enough (or long enough) to justify any kind of flu vaccine. Hell, the last two times I've been ill were both due to bacterial infections (yay sore throat :p) that required antibiotics. Flu shot would've been useless.

My last viral infection, that I can think of? Two or three years ago.

If you get ill often, it's time to rethink your diet or lifestyle more than whether or not a flu shot is a good idea :p

Never had it, got over the flu a few weeks ago and now I'm sick again, so, so much for antibodies

Nah, I don't get them. I hardly ever get sick, and when I do, it clears up in like 3 days.

I'd also save the stocks for people who really need them, like the elderly, small children or those people with heart problems

i only got flu shots until i turned 6.i don't get sick easily and when i do it doesn't last longer then a day.

I get sick once a year, like the bad lay-you-down-for-a-week type flu and I never have and never will have a shot ...... compare that to every person I know who gets shots - average of having that bad flu 5-8 times a year. Makes you think huh.

Weird, the last time I had one, I become ill too. My immune system is not very effective, I get sick pretty often, so unfortunately the flu shot doesn't really help. Something else comes along and makes me sick. Damn nasty bugs!

I get one every year, it doesn't do much for prevention but it cuts down the time you're sick by a few days if you do happen to get the flu.

One flu shot a year plus the occasional B12 jab and you're sorted.

Had mine in March. I got ill afterwards, but it was very brief- so I believe the shot helped it not getting out of control.

Nay.

Its not like I'm totally against immunization. I just have a natural view that letting your body fight things off is better than mankind's constant fiddling with things we don't know enough about to make informed decisions.

Been thinking of getting flu shots. I get the flu once a year generally and don't feel 100% for like a month afterward (lingering sniffel and cough).
