First National Bank's apology to the ANC sends a message to companies that it is not acceptable to question or criticise the ruling party, the DA said on Friday night.

"In doing so [apologising] it has shown that it is acceptable to be bullied by the governing party, and it has shown the ANC that its bullying tactics work in suppressing critical voices," Democratic Alliance spokesman Mmusi Maimane said in a statement.

Zille getting a bit heavy it seems. I hate what this must have done mentally to the poor kids that are now "implicated" by the ANC. Shame on you FNB and shame on you ANC for silencing the truth spoken by these children. If I was one of you cowards and/or bullies I would never be able to live with myself, then again that's how the ANC operates and they think it's acceptable. The FNB cowards have crawled back into the ANC favor now, maybe that's why Jordaan felt he had to go, it was the last straw.
 
One more the ANC steam rolls over democracy. The DA is completely right, why should we give in to their bulling and allow them to tie down our own rights.

You'll probably find they were going to lose a lot of business as well if government moves their accounts to other banks.

Nandos did a similar thing last year in Zim when they pulled their ad as well.

They only did it because the government's bank account is at FNB. If they didn't apologise then they would lose ALLOT of money. Shitty of FNB to do that. And ANC.... Well nothing left to say.
