Ok so I have this Force Feedback Pro Joystick, back then when I bought it (cant remember the year) it was a great joystick. I wanted to use it for Elite Dangerous but unfortunately it has a gameport connector. Is there a cheap way to get it working on my pc? or should I use it for a doorstop?

Heh, I was thinking about those connectors just the other day...the ones that used to sit on soundcards.

Wonder if something like this would work...

I've had the notion of building my own joystick/HOTAS for a couple of years now. As such, I picked up a (very cheap) second hand FF Pro a little more than a year ago, just to see if I could make it work on a modern system, and if not, if I could cannibalize it. So I did a lot of research, and the long and short of it is, no.

Buy The T-Flight Hotas X, it's a great value for money set. I sincerely doubt that you'll regret it.
