Forum category changes

Grand Poobah
This has been long overdue.

I'm going to be making changes to MyGaming's sub-forum structure to simplify things, better concentrate discussion, and make it easier for folks to figure out where to post something.

Many of the changes are in-line with suggestions you've made in the past that I haven't had a chance to implement until now.

Any questions, concerns, comments, or further suggestions - please post them here.

Ooo nice! Where did the MMO section go? Probably under pc? Will go check. :)

I see the iGame forums are also gone.

The main "what MMO are you playing right now" thread is under General Gaming, the rest if the MMO threads have been moved under PC.

This can be good in the long run. Maybe make searches also a bit more simplified. Sometimes i search for something and cometely something else comes up or i get an empty search. It will prolly take a few days to get used too.

Looks good, I suppose that VR gaming and Mobile gaming are too small at this time to get their own categories?

Also something else I have been wondering, gone are the days that portable devices outclass cellular devices, would the two fit into the same category or, like vr, just random threads under general gaming?

Anyway, not trying to make work, just trying to understand the structure.

Yeah, the VR stuff will have to go under their relevant platform (Rift and Vive -> PC; Gear VR -> Mobile; PlayStation VR -> Console) for now.

Good point on mobile. I'll see if I can reword the console category so it's obvious mobile stuff should go there.

I thought I was in the wrong place when I came on now.

Change is a good as a holiday!

I like, I like.

Do we really still need separate forums for PC and console gaming, though? Unless it would make a single subforum too busy, I always liked the idea of merging the PC and Console gaming forums into General Gaming. In the past neither really got enough action to warrant having their own subforums as most people just preferred to post in General Gaming. I've been a bit busy the last year and I'm not around as much as I'd like, so I'm not sure if it has changed.

Heaven forbid you mix PCMR users with the Console Peasants!

Good suggestion! It is under serious consideration.
