Well worth it. Easily the game of the year for me..and yes it is that good.

As for older cars..There are plenty to choose from, personally I have bought all the 60's and 70's mustangs xD Changed all the internals xD they sport shelby gt500 motors now, fully upgraded xD pushing out 690kw xD

It has a much better selection of 60's and 70's cars than Forza 3. Pontiac Trans Ams, GTOs, Ford Mustangs (Torino promised at a later date), Dodge Darts, Challengers and Chargers, AMC Javelins, Plymouth 'Cudas and GTXs, Buick GSXs.

There is even an Australian muscle car! (the Ford Falcon XB 73). Also many classic Ferraris and the original Mercedes Gullwing. Many older BMWs too.

I bought a Dodge Charger 69 and upgraded it - pretty sweet! Also got an upgraded Pontiac Trans Am '73. Pity you cant put a 426 Hemi engine in the Charger 69, think only the '71 Dodge Charger Daytona comes with it.

They should just start making some of those cars again, exactly as they were except for upgraded interiors and mechanical components. Car manufacturers worry so much about modernizing their cars - I think a lot of people would buy the old ones over the new ones.

Rivals mode is surprisingly fun actually. Its a nice complement to the main single player game. You can also earn some good bucks in it.
 
So the obvious question is, who of you have tried the reasonably prices car (Suzuki Liana) around the Top Gear test track? :p

Would be cool to perhaps start a thread here with lap times of doing it in the Suzuki on a dry day in manual gear mode. Maybe submit pics for proof? Or just be honest. I haven't gone to see if they have the C-apostrophe-D car in stock, but the Liana is by far the most memorable one, spanning from season 1 - 7 (2002-2005)

I had 2 go's on the track and my current time is 1:47:28, which places me in 4th place on the wall & 0.18 seconds behind Simon Cowell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_test_track) ... My bro bought the game so I can only check it out over weekends when I visit him, but I'm keen on giving it a go if you guys are. :)

It's miiiiles better than the Top Gear teaser track they have in GT5.

Myself and a good mate of mine did this on the weekend xD
Can't remember times but it was in the higher 1:40's. Will race it again tonight and see if I can get around 1:46. Im sure I am capable of this :D lol

Epically brilliant game. My fav game of the year thus far...
