Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 3 Could Be Coming to PC- RUMOR

Xbox One seems to rapidly be losing games to Windows 10 PCs, which makes me question the point of even owning one in the first place. After Quantum Break became the latest Xbox One exclusive to jump ship, it seems two more games may be getting ready to cross over to other platforms- Forza Motorsport 6 and the still unannounced, but widely anticipated for a 2016 release Forza Horizon 3.

The rumor comes from Chinese news site WPDang, which claims that an unnamed source has confirmed to them Windows 10 versions of both the games are being added to the Windows Store. This would mark the first time ever that a Forza game has appeared on a system that is not Xbox- Forza so far remains the only Microsoft IP to have been permanently exclusive to Xbox consoles.

Whether or not this is true is something that remains to be seen, however. If it is, we will probably learn more about it at the event Microsoft is holding next week showing off their Xbox One and Windows 10 games lineup.

yeah if Ms were to port titles to Pc it would most likely be an older Forza ie Forza 5 or an Inferior version like the xbox 360 version of horizon 2. On the other hand sea of thieves and ReCore is coming to pc so anything is possible.

Yeah, my opinion is that it's highly unlikely. Forza is their flagship console seller, I doubt it very much they'll port them.

I'm not so sure it's a rumour worth shooting down off-hand.

We know now that Quantum Break is releasing on PC at the same time as XBox. We known that MS are working towards a future where XBox and Windows 10 are linked and integrated to a much greater degree. I see a (near-)future that has Win10 at the centre of a multi-device, integrated Microsoft ecosystem.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if XBox Exclusives fade away, and gradually get replaced by "Microsoft Gaming Exclusives" or some such.

It depends on what Microsoft is going for. Remember what they did with Quantum Break..you know what i think they are really trying to do?

The Microsoft Store .

I really believe MS are seeing this as the core of their entire ecosystem, the more dev and customers they can get into this store the more momentum it will gain. This includes the Xbox Store, the Windows Phone Store and the Windows 10 Store , all tying together...

So what better way to do this? Put a few serious games on there. Hence, Quantum Break won't be a Steam game, won't be a Origin game, you will need to buy it on the MS Store. Something like Forza and Fable Legends will certainly boost this store, regardless on what platform you end up buying it for.

See, MS won't care whether you buy it for the Xbox or PC (or phone even) , it comes from the exact same store. Wasn't there a whole study in the past on how console makers actually make a LOSS on their hardware and make it up on the software sales? Well, surely MS must be seeing $$$ signs if they can lock people into their store and grab sales from Steam / PSN / iTunes at the same time?

Think about it, if MS pulls this off, they will be the only company that effectively have a digital store that are on PC + Mobile + Console . Not even Google or Apple have that.

Also consider that Quantam Break or any of the other titles also coming to PC are not Microsoft flagship titles. It's doubtful that any of the flagship titles will see a Windows release.

I see the rumour is going further stating that Gears of War 4 might also be going to the PC .... the source is always that Chinese site, so it's a bit suspect.
