Lol, I was on a blistering lap set to be very close to 1:50, only I missed the apex of a very blind corner, cut it too fine, and got a bloody dirty lap. It was my winning lap as well. I nearly broke my controller. My neighbour came over to hear what's going on as well...apparently it sounded like I was being attacked. I fucking lost it. Rage quitted and will try tomorrow again

I've fucked up so many of my good laps on the last 180 bend before the finish.

It also annoys me that my lap after a dirty lap is also dirty, so I have to do a clean lap before I can do a clean, timed lap.

My times have increased quite a bit though with a new tune, but yeah. Not sure how much time I'll have for this the rest of the weekend.

Your lap will only be dirty if you went off the track in the last few bends. Again to ensure you don't start the next lap on an advantage due to going off the road. Unfortunatly for us, the last turn can't give you any benefit from going off track, but you will still start the next lap dirty.

Yeah I figured it was for that reason, but still annoying to mess up your next lap right at the end.
 
I give up for this week. I just suck. I'm there to make other people look good. *goes and play single player games on easy*
 
Just a tip, if you do get flagged dirty on the last few corners, rewind and fix it, then the next lap won't be flagged dirty.

I am also throwing in the towel on this one. I am never going to find another second a lap let alone 4 seconds a laps.

Yes, but only the lap you are in. This tip is specific for the situation where your NEXT lap gets auto flagged dirty if you go off track in the last few corners of current lap. So since your current lap is already dirty (because you cut the last few corners), you might as well rewind and redo the corner.

So if you fix the corner via rewind, your NEXT lap won't be auto flagged dirty (your current lap will remain dirty).

Also, in general, if you have rewind turned on (even if you dont intend to use it), you will see immediately when you get flagged dirty, since the rewind option will popup on screen...good way to see how far you can push a corner..
