Congratulations to [MENTION=23139]McPhil[/MENTION] for a fantastic time. Holy hell you and Flex are really really quick. I missed this challenge due to various reasons for appropriate for this thread. But new challenger is up, and it's [MENTION=15883]GregRedd[/MENTION]. Please set everyone a new challenge for this week

Congrats racers! Didn't realize it was my turn, so haven't given it any thought. Will do so this morning and post up the challenge when I get a gap around lunchtime.
 
Right, this week the Challenge is a "support" race to the F1 testing that started today. A F1 Marque Saloon Super Cup if you like :)

Circuit: Circuit de Catalunya GP
Car Class: S class
Car Restrictions: Any GT, saloon style, tin-top from one of the marques involved in the 2016 F1 season. (Mercedes, Ferrari, Renault, Honda, McLaren). No open-wheel or open-cockpit.
Bonus Points: To the driver who successfully completes the challenge in the oldest car.

(Not 100% sure this'll work as I'm thinking it up, so please let me know if anyone foresees any issues or confusion before we get too carried away.)

Gonna have to buy a 650S :D Or maybe there's something else that will fit the criteria "whistling:

Think I'm gonna struggle on this track though

There may be more that are allowed that I've missed, or don't see because they're in DLC that I don't own. But that list should give you a solid idea of the sort of car eligible.

Remember also that these are only cars already in Class S. Just because it isn't on that list doesn't automatically mean you can't use it. If it meets the requirements (Class S, closed canopy, no open wheels, saloon type) it should be good. I'm sure there are many more in the lower classes that could be upgraded to S to make them eligible. I reckon if you're in any doubt, post the car you want to use here and we'll yay or nay it for you.

Mmmmm... Okay. So it is actually very very wide. Any Class S car, with a closed roof( Not convertible or open top that does not have ) with no open wheels. If I have it correct.
 
Out of curiosity, is it possible to downgrade a car to a lower class? Not remove upgrades added to a car in order to return it to its' original lower class, but take a car from it's stock class to a lower class.

Spot on. As long as it's from one of the named marques (Ferrari, Honda, McLaren, Mercedes, Renualt) you should be golden.

Also, as per your previous posts, saloon type. Meaning it should have 4 doors, not just 2?

Nah, I don't think we need to be that specific. Was just using that term in a more general sense. Coupe, fastback, hatchback, grand tourer, sedan, saloon, 2 or 4 door, I'd be happy.
 
Ok, so i'm going for the bonus this time, 1963 Ferrari is currently the year to beat, hope it is a valid car though ;-)

Goeie hemel! But that time you set was quick indeed. haven't sat down and tried too hard really. Only did a few quick laps last night before dinner.
What setup did you use though?
 
I just did a couple of laps last night and I'm so far off the pace. It's been a busy week but I'll put in some good time on Sunday.

I put in a better lap last night so I think you saw that one! The car is still standard, haven't changed anything yet.
