FREE 10GB trial account

Some people at MyBB received mails saying that the trial is starting on the 1st of October. I haven't received anything yet so far. How about you guys?

Congratulations and thank you for signing up in time to participate and receive your 10 Gigs of FREE bandwidth! We have hit our target of 5, 000 sign ups.


All applicants will be informed via e-mail and optionally SMS, as soon as the trial begins and you will then be supplied with your login details.


We will periodically be sending updates regarding the starting date, however please visit our Forum regularly to stay informed on additional news and progress reports.

Literally *as* I pressed post I got an email from them consisting of, among other things:

Since our initial communications, we are happy to report that everything remains on track for the trial commencement date of Oct 1st. Batches of accounts will be activated over the period of Oct 1st - Oct 7th.

We received questions regarding the account specifics and would like you to please note the following:
# This is a once off allocation.
# It does not include your line rental.
# The 10Gig cap is only valid during the trial period, it is not transferable, and any unused portions will expire at the end of the trial.
# Trial network performance will NOT be indicative of the final product and outages WILL occur.
# The bandwidth provided allows for both national and international access.

We estimate that we will require about 7-14 days to collect adequate data to fully optimise the network. We do however reserve the right to extend or shorten the trial should the need arise.

I've got some Steam games that require downloading. I also want to get the Source SDK since I'd love to make a little silly mod in my spare time. :)

Did you also register and what are you planning to do with the 10gigs?

Man +1 to WebAfrica for doing this. It's probably the biggest present I've ever gotten. :D
 
Indeed I did.

I received e-mail notification informing me that the trial will most likely begin on 1 October and probably run from 7-14 days, though WA might extend that at their discretion.

I plan to spend more time on Facebook, Gametrailers and Youtube and download
the Dangeons and Dragons free-to-play MMORPG. Then I shall go looking for useful free software to download.I am also going to pimp-out Ubuntu 9.04.

I see that WA have a Facebook page.
 
They will email the info to us between the 1st and 7th of Oct, in the email it will state if it's a shaped or unshaped account.
