I just convert to bitcoin and plan on spending it in humble store or on bundles :)

mmm...wonder if we can possibly help each other. I have rixty coins which we can possibly trade with, if warframe uses rixty.

EDIT: seems it does, although i can only buy the "splinter pack", and i dont think you have enough stellar for a fair trade hehe :p
 
hehe plus I already own the stellar pack :P aka I own most of them just not the $99 dlc :P

Never mind its not worth it :) Will just save it for my humble bundles

I only realise the value of bitcoin now...makes me wonder: How much did you make out of this Mottamort? With everyone sending you 700+ stellars..

Only 1 person sent me 800, i got i think 2 ppl that sent me 100 (they reduced the amount you send for free, its currently at 50).

With the new amount i just got now, i've made about $20 worth of BTC :)

Hopefully you'll also get "rewarded" over time. They started off with lump sum and according to the forums, they plan on still giving you that amount, just spread out so as not to devalue the currency. so check back every few days :)
 
If you own Bitcoins or Ripples, keep an eye on Stellar. They said that in about six months time they will distribute about 20% of Stellars to Bitcoin and Ripple holders. Here's the a quote from the Stellar forum:

Bitcoin program
20% of the initial stellars are set aside to be distributed to holders of bitcoin and XRP (19% for bitcoin holders and 1% for XRP holders).
We will take a snapshot of the bitcoin blockchain at a particular date and will set up a claim page that will allow bitcoin holders to receive their pro-rata share of the stellars reserved under this program by verifying they control their address from that blockchain snapshot. For example, a user owning .001% of the bitcoins in the blockchain snapshot would receive .001% of the stellars set aside for bitcoin holders under this program, or 190,000 stellars.
For bitcoin holders, distribution will begin within 6 months after Stellar is open to the public. The Foundation will maintain this claim site for at least 3 months.
For XRP, we will take a snapshot of ripple ledger 6,762,000 (a ledger occuring May 22nd, 2014). Any ripple account holder with less than 7.5 million XRP (~$50,000 USD at that time) in his or her account at that ledger will qualify for the giveaway. Every qualified XRP holder has two options to participate:
Pro-rata: Similar to the bitcoin holders, eligible XRP holders may receive their pro-rata share of stellars allocated to this giveaway (1%) and be credited for up to 1.5 million XRP.
Donation: Eligible XRP holders may also donate up to 1.5M XRP to a selection of charities and receive an equal amount of stellars in return.
For example: Sam had 1 million XRP as of ledger 6,762,000. He could choose to donate his XRP to a charity listed in the program and get 1 million stellars from the bitcoin program. Or he could choose to claim his pro-rata share of stellars allocated to this giveaway. Sam has .001% of the XRP so he would get .001% of the 1 billion stellars allocated to the XRP holders or 10,000 stellars.
The XRP claim page will be up at within 6 months after Stellar is open to the public and will remain up for at least 3 months.
Members and board members of the nonprofit will not participate in the bitcoin program for any bitcoins or XRP they hold during the claim period. If there are unclaimed stellars in the bitcoin program after this period, they will go to the nonprofit’s operational fund.

Things have changed a lot since mottamort started this thread. I got 125 Stellars and I was able to send 25 Stellars to get 25 in return.

Eish...but what hasn't changed is that you WILL still receive the total amount in dollars, just not a lump sum. Check every several days and you'll see :)

I always wanted to invest in bitcoin but never really took the steps. Thanks to you I'm going to buy some bitcoins now. Busy looking at Justcoin. :)

Cool. had my gf sign up 2 days ago (for me hehe) so will be able to confirm when that account gets "rewarded". will post as soon as it does so you guys that are a little late to the party have some idea how much/when you'll get :)
 
If anyone new signs up and feel like giving to someone else, you can send to Solitude. :D

I currently have 100 Stellars. I sent 25 to tsar (sorry mottamort! ) and haven't received anything back yet. I'll post here when the amount is updated again.
