How nice of them, I think. That's how you show your customers you enjoy their support. Especially since it was a crowdfunded game :)

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition is an enhanced and expanded version of inXile's Kickstarted old-school post-apocalyptic role-playing game, and is due out late summer.

The visuals benefit from a switch to the Unity 5 game engine, with improved textures, character models and lighting. Thousands of lines of new voice-over have been recorded.

Meanwhile, new Perks & Quirks have been added, as well as the new Precision Strike system, which lets players target individual body parts on enemies to inflict debilitating effects.

InXile also promised overhauled game balance, item drops and reworked combat encounters.

"We wanted to re-affirm our gratitude to our backers and our dedication to RPG fans, as we have been most fortunate to return to our roots," said inXile boss Brian Fargo.

"We plan to continue our proud tradition with Bard's Tale 4, which we'll crowdfund later this year."

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

If I'd known that, I would have grabbed it last time it was on sale. Ah well, maybe it'll be cheaper this time around on the next one.

As much as I'd like to get it on the PS4 instead, I think I'll stick with the PC version.
 
Sweet deal! I really enjoyed the game. Dunno if this warrants another play through, but definitely cool to have.

Where's my Red Boots DLC? :D
 
I still have to buy this at some point, glad I decided to go for Pillars of Eternity first. Will probably get this during the next steam sale, along with Divinity: Original Sin.

Deluxe is just base game + original + some comics AFAIK.

Sounds like a whole lot of improvements, not just packaging all the previous contents :eek:

Definitely going to reload it when GOTY edition comes out :D
 
Great to hear, would have been a bit bummed if they didnt give it for free to current owners, then again, most GOTYs gets sold again....
But this is not a normal dev company, they are former Black Isle hero's.
 
O this is sweet since I hit a bug and could not continue and not wanting to start a new game it has been stuck on the backburner.
 
Great news. This has been in my backlog for a while, and it's probably one of the next 3 games I'll play. Guess I'll schedule it for when the GOTY update releases! :D
