but when does one find the TIME to clear this backlog :( i feel like i need to take a week off work, and ship the wife and ids to the out-laws. that's the only logical way i can make a dent in my backlog

I recently (finally) started playing FTL. Is anyone else currently playing? I believe you are [MENTION=8022]Edelweiss[/MENTION].

What's your thoughts on the game so far. Personally I was expecting a bit more to be honest. It's alright but not really amazing yet.
 
You started with the advance eddition and well to you it might seem not so great. But when it was realeased it was good and then they update it and it was way better.

So far I'm playing without the Advanced Edition content. Will try playing with it a bit later. :)

I was just kind of expecting a bit more to the game. It's not bad at all. It just feels a bit limited. But I'll put in more time and see.
 
I love it eh, tough as shit but I love the art style as well. One of those games you put on some tjoons and click away for an hour or two.

Also played it 33 times on my pc and a ton more on my laptop and I have yet to beat the end boss.

Same feeling bro.. Maybe I'm just a jaded gamer.
I need immersion dammit!
 
I loved the game. Haven't played in ages though.
Once you beat the final boss and start to unlock different ships it gets even more interesting and challenging.
 
I'm enjoying it more now, the further I'm getting. My current run is going very well and I'm hoping I can actually make it to the boss this time around.
 
I beat the boss twice! ...

...

On easy :p but it was still quite a feat. It would have been 3 times but on my first attempt at the game crashed right near the end.

Check my current ship. Doing my 4th sector jump now. That Pike Beam is awesome! I'm playing this ship again to get the 6 aliens on 1 ship achievement.
