Full stereoscopic 3D is set to hit the Xbox 360, Eurogamer can reveal.
This stereo 3D support works exactly like the PlayStation 3's 3D effect. In other words, full-on HDMI 1.4 stereoscopic 3D in the 1280x1470 twin 720p framebuffer configuration.

This would mean a 720p image per eye.

Check the source for full article, very interesting indeed. Hopefully E3 will reveal more information.

Woohoo! I'm so glad I got upgraded to an XBOX 360 with an HDMI (following 3 separate RROD incidents). Now, all I need to do is save up for that 3D tv...

By the time I can afford a "3D tv" Xbox1080 will be out already.

Nah its not that bad 3D TV prices have fallen alot since inception, maybe you it will be the XBOX 72), which is a few years away by word of the internet chatter (Rumours).

Quick question does the new HDMI Xbox come with HDMI rev 1.4? Cause i don't recall seeing that on the technical refress list as Microsoft didnt really buy into the 3D thing so much. Can you please correct me if i am wrong.

and i am aware that the PS3 runs 3D on rev 1.3, i am just asking?

40"/42" 3D TV's can be picked at R10k at retailers nowadays.

Last I remembered MS saying that all current HDMI xbox 360 can do 3D.

I can easily see more older generation xbox's having RROD because of overheating issues.
having 3d means that your xbox has to almost work twice as hard, because with stereoscopic 3d, your xbox will have to produce
2 images at the same time so that means 2 x 1920 x 1080 images rendering while playing a game, imagine LA Noir
games like that... O.0
Sticking with ps3 with that sorta thing :P

I doubt they will run two 1920x1080 images for 3D maybe two 720p ones, less work... and most games are not designed in full HD anyway on console very few are.
