Gamepad for PC

Hey jerks!

What's the best gamepad/controller/whatever for PC? I bought Dark Souls for PC (despite already owning it on PS3, but it's not connected to the net, so no patches) and it's a terrible port and the controls are really horrible, so I was thinking of getting a... gamepad... or whatever. Also, where would be the best place to get such a thing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Price isn't really an issue.

Thanks!

I just looked at something called the LOGITECH Wireless Gamepad F710. This a good one? It's around R500.

Wired Xbox 360 controller.

Also why would you buy the game again when it is literally the exact same game? :)

If you dont want to go for the XBox Controller (the best choice imo) then go for Logitech.
I own an OLD Logitech Rumble Pad 2 that is about 6-8 years old, and still working as day 1.

Dont trust the cheaper brands, not worth it.

Yeah you can go Wireless 360 controller + Wireless PC receiver but that is more expensive than just the wired version.

Because:

1). As I said, the PS3 is not connected to the internet, so I can't get the patches (which change a LOT).
2). Prepare to Die edition has the soundtrack, behind the scenes and an art book.

Actually it kinda doesn't. It's a pretty bad port.

(Corded or Wireless).

I still want one. My controller fell some months ago and looks like a Cyborg RAT controller now.

XBox 360 Controller for Windows.

I have a wireless one on my pc and it works like a charm.
It automatically picks up most games you would expect to be controller compatible
and sensitivity and everything is taken into account.
It's really the best controller you can get for PC period.

The logitech's are nice but sometimes you have to configure them to work with specific games
and that's a big disadvantage

Lol I pre-ordered it and was amped on trying it on release, started it up to be greeted with a console control system.

Played for like 20minutes and decided to leave it for now until I get a controller working(will probably use my PSTriple controller whenever I try it again).

But yea it's a pretty terrible port, but I'll still give it a go at some stage.

From what I know the latest logitech gamepads support XInput which the Xbox360 controllers use, so it will be as compatible with games as using an xbox controller is, it just depends on your preferred layout.

Personally, I prefer the wireless 360 controller. No stupid cables that get snagged on chairs, and I can play while lying on my bed.
