Here's an example of the type of band and music this group of developers associate themselves with. Judge for yourself.

Guess the definition of Heavy Metal changed over the ears, I mean Iron Maiden is basically classic rock now.

But yeah, those kind of people decided to make a game for their audience in a next gen game engine.

I have been playing drums for metal bands since 2008.

Stop using metal as a scapegoat and man up. What if there was no talking in the Hatred trailer, only classical music such as Ave Maria? That would give it a different vibe completely.

You're being ignorant because the developer 'associates' themselves with metal. What if they stated that they enjoy listening to Aaron Parks or Andrea Bocelli? Would we still be having this discussion?

Its entertainment thats all it is. Games don't make people kill,metal doesn't make people kill.

People who go on a rampage are not well in the head. Also people who are really sick, real sick people watch snuff films. Games won't do it for them. If you really want to see tasteless entertainment watch A Serbian Film. I can't even watch something like that.

There is a lot worst shit out there than something silly like this.

P.S Most Metal heads are very peace loving people.(anti-war) and stuff like that. They tend to be a lot more calm than people who listen to main stream music.

That's the thing... Metal didn't willingly step in to take the punch, it was ruthlessly dragged in and beaten to a pulp whilst just casually and innocently walking by.

Go listen to some gansta rap - loads of killing, whoring, drinking, drug abuse, stealing, raping and general bad-assness in those lyrics. Why can't I blame every day murder on it? Hell, who do you think sang "I shot a man just to watch him die"? A metal band? Gansta rapper? Lady Gaga? Nope - Johnny Cash, a COUNTRY singer.

Can I automatically associate black people with gansta rap and say they are violent and twisted in the same way these (white) devs listen to metal and are hateful towards everything? I can, but I shouldn't. Stereotyping is wrong.

I'm almost convinced stereotypes like that harm people more and drive them towards violence. You'll NEVER associate me with metal culture if you meet me in person - I come across as the antithesis of what is deemed "to be metal", yet I live and breathe the music genre. I went through my long hair, black clothes and gloominess phase, but realized the clothes don't make the man.

Stop hating on a music genre just because some idiots doing horrible stuff enjoy it.
 
its just a game. i would give it a try. lets be honest people. we have killed an infinite number of e-civilians in countless games. Prototype for example, involved you liquidising and injesting scores of innocents
