Gamer Confessions..

So mygaming,

What are your gamer confessions? Something that undermines the proud right for you to call yourself a "gamer"? It could be that you NEVER played a popular/long-running gaming franchise. It could also be that you've never owned a certain console or anything else you feel guilty about.

As for me. I have a sh!tload of confessions to make! Enough for me to ask myself "Am I really a hardcore gamer? Am I more of the casual type? Or just a poseur?"

So I'll get the ball rolling and mention a few..

I've never owned an xbox/ps3 (this pretty much results in me not playing most of previous gen games)
Although I am proficient, online fps' are too hardcore for me.
I dislike God of War.
I dislike Gears of War.
Minecraft makes me physically ill. (Must be the FOV)
I've never touched a splinter cell game.
I've never played dead space/bioshock.
The only final fantasy game I finished was FF7.
I am disillusioned by all things Nintendo.
I attempted twice to finish the last boss on Chrono Trigger, failed both times..
When I get stuck in a game, I get a massive headache to the point where I get bedridden
I use walkthroughs to beat areas where I struggle
Sometimes I troll in online games to fill the empty void in my heart :(

Post your confessions..

I hate all games where you play the bad guy. It just rubs me the wrong way. This includes MMOs like Eve.

I hardly ever finish games.

I play online games like Minecraft just to socialise with imaginary friends.

Well..

I enjoyed all the Sims games but i stopped playing Sims3 because of the insane loading times and because of lack of Gore,Violence and firearms (i wanted to go into the criminal career and murder my neighbor because he won't stop coming into my yard to pet my dog which for some reason didn't want to tear him to shreds.

I abused a glitch in TF2 that allowed me to run faster then a scout. (If you de-sync an old duel core processor while playing TF2 you can reload faster, shoot faster, run faster and a few other things.Running away from Pyros as Spy only to stab them a few seconds later was fun as well as my deadringer recharging almost instantly)I don't like cheating but exploiting games is a whole other thing as long as it's just normal playing and not clan games (like knifing a guy in BF3 and telleporting to the maps ceiling thus allowing you to parachute to any spot on the map. Also i don't use exploits that ruin the game for other people, except maybe the time i parked a Tank in BF4 on the tower at C point Siege of Shanghai and shot down choppers trying to land there.(got a tank into the elevator XD,or at least a part of it)

I dislike MMORPG games like World of Warcraft.

Not really anything to be ashamed about but i refuse to spend money on Free2Play games that have insane grind like Planetside2 and MechWarrior online while i have no problem spending money in games with easy grinding like Warframe because i know the developers are catering for paying and none paying customers (you can play a week in Ps2 to get a weapon,to give you an example a paying customer can get up to 300 certs an hour while a none paying customer will usually get around 30-60certs average an hour,Mechwarrior paying players get around 400,000 per game while normal players only get around 20,000.In Warframe you can all the parts of a frame within an hour or 2 and then it takes around 12h to build each part (you can build all of the parts at the same time) and then it takes around 2 days to build the rest of the frame however you don't have to grind while it's building an you can do other things.Resources are also rarely hard to find because you get them passively during missions)

More of a rant though :D

I don't like playing games, I steals time from my "lying on the couch in front of the TV" obsession. I very rarely get a game that is gripping... must say, BF4 is working fr me right now....

I consider buying a PS4, and know I will never play a game on it :(

I think Valve is totally, completely and utterly overrated.
I hate Gears of War
My most played game of 2013 is an Iphone farm sim.
I PMed Wyvern to give me her free Sims 3 codes

:(

I really loved quake 4.
I don't see the appeal in minecraft.

I find all mmos super boring. World of warcraft gave me an instant headache.
I hated bioshock infinite.
find games like cookie clicker really lame
Dragons age origins sucked.

I cried bitter tears when I played cnc 4.

Quake 4 was orsome :D

Hmm...confession time! :D

For digital entertainment, I only play games. I almost never watch movies or TV as I just get no stimulation from it at all. I'd prefer playing an interactive game or playing something online with friends.

Mass Effect 2's ending made me REALLY sad.

When I got older, I struggled to finish most games, maybe due to the quality of games these days, or maybe a nagging nostalgia that subconsciously convinces me that games today aren't what they used to be. I play online games way more than SP games.

If games don't have ragdoll physics, it had better be REALLY good for me to like it.

And that's about all I can think of right now :P

A few more..
I don't get the appeal of games like the latter Fallout and TES games.. It's a bit too much freedom and open-endedness for me.
Sim games like the sims/animal crossing etc make me feel like why the feck would I wanna have responsibilities and do the boring stuff I do irl in a game??

Oh yeah....
Edelweiss reminded me of the fact that:
I prefer linear games to open world games.
I personally hate Bethesda.

Because there you have control over it! :D

Sheesh Tsar, I can't believe you think Dragon Age Origins sucked! I really loved that game. :)

My confessions:
I've never played World of Warcraft.
As I get older I tend to like casual games more.
I really don't like the GTA games.
I spend more time reading about gaming than actually playing.
I really want to support the developers of Rooks Keep but even though I'm a chess fanatic I don't like the game at all. :( So I still haven't bought it and just played the demo.
I don't like roleplaying games where you can't create the character. Like the Witcher.
If I get stuck in a game I go look in a walkthrough.

I play all my games on normal difficulty and never touch them again.
I don't really care about best/high scores or K/D ratios.
There's no point in buying/playing fighting games because no one else will invest the time in training/learning the combo's to be competitive and fun (Unless you play it as an esport).
I get depressed when I look at the total amount of hours playing dota 2.

I don't get minecraft
I don't like starcraft
In the back of my shelf I have my collection of sims 2 titles, I'm tempted to reinstall
I have yet to purchase anything off steam
