Games are now in fashion - literally

Many games have been involved quite heavily in fashion, sure maybe not as directly as the examples in the article. Games like Uncharted take their clothing choices very seriously and the authenticity shows. :)

Lady Gaga's fashion is inspired by JRPGs, it would seem. Though, I've yet to see a meat dress in any form of digital entertainment.

I guess I just find it difficult to draw the connections between video games and fashion - not in the sense of the way game characters are dressed, but more in the way of brand alignment and corporate identity. How do you draw the lines of association between Prada and Final Fantasy, for instance?

It just seems...bizarre to me.

Technically speaking Pudge from DOTA is "dressed" in meat...So maybe that's where she got the idea...lol

It's about leveraging popularity, hence why famous actors and sports men/woman model fashion items, it's not because David Beckham is going to wear a Tag Heuer watch during a soccer match.

You have a point here. It is all about what is popular at the moment. What is more popular than video games at the moment? Movie stars? This world has already seen gaming go past that in popularity. Perhaps sport, but then you don't reach a lot of the gamers (not stereotyping, lol). Target their world. That's what their strategy seems to be. And we are all talking about it in this forum, so it seems to have caught our attention...
