Games not to buy list.

The reason why it feels different, why it lacks the "COD FEEL" is because its the first PC based COD that Treyarch made.

I also Hated WAW when I first played it, but if you give the game time, it opens up nicely. Also the level of maturity of the players online playing WAW far surpasses the idiotic moaning and complaining the Cod4 community, wich makes for a much more enjoyable mutliplayer environment.

WAW sucks to LAN though, COD4 is still teh KING OF LAN

Hehe did not see that mistake:). I agree with you, I have been playing WAW the weekend and its not as bad as I initially though, the new maps are pretty good and there is far less chatting than COD4, my word sometimes it feels more like a chat room for teens that a multiplayer game.

I must add that the zombie mode saves the game, especially with 3 other friends on a LAN, wicked fun.

Nazi Zombie mode is the best bit for me :D. The single player was meh.
 
Silverfall. I tried to like it but just couldn't. It's a Diablo type game with nice graphics but they got most of the basics of gameplay wrong. The minimap is super annoying and the monsters level up with you which means it's best not to clear a map but kill as few monsters as you can while finishing quests. And so forth.

Definitely not worth it.
 
This is an entirely subjective topic: different strokes for different folks.

I personally enjoyed God of War 1 & 2 immensely, as well as Ninja Gaiden.
 
I agree about WAW lacking single player, but the co-op is still fun, as well as the multiplayer.

My addition to the list is Commando's:Strike Force, absolutely horrible!!!

Lets see, Conflict: Denied Ops, Chaser...

Hmmm i'll have to amend this list when i get home.. i own way too many crappy titles :P
 
I enjoyed Ninja Gaiden, its just 2 that grinds my nuts. Its still fun but becomes too frustrating in parts. I hear what you say its definatly a case of to each his own. Although some game *Cough* Damnation *Cought* are just crap and should be tried unless your a sucker for punishment.

I think the OP was referring to games like Damnation, a game filled with bugs and is just down right horrible in every regard. We had another thread way back when listing games we just didn't get but there was a fuss made about them.
 
I see a bunch of posts, about decent, good or brilliant games. No actual revolting, complete rubbish games are listed. WTF?! Just cos you can't finish a game, or you play a buggy game (and unpatched), doesn't make it junk. Neither does mediocrity. :/
 
ok im sure some of these games were already brought up but ill give you my list on what not to buy:
1. Iron Man (Sorry excuse for a PC game)
2. Pirates of the Carribean 1 (GFX was shocking im sorry especially on PC)
3. Chronicles of Narnia (My brother is 8 and hes been able to finish it)

These are the games taken from the movies and pp rushed into them when developments came along they should have waited and worked on them before deciding the outcome.

This is merely a thread of Games not to buy, mediocrity would count in my opinion not to spend hard earned cash on a title.
 
Dont buy Prison Tycoon3 or 4 it sux ass...... the game lacks most of everything and you can totally not do everything they say on the cover you can do....

Son you are new here so we will forgive your ignorance. The good games, like GOW, Ninja Gaiden and the like the poster gave good reason for them not liking said game. Others like Ironman, Gunman Chronicles are crap games. But like our All Mighty Mod Say, its a case of to each his own. If i spend R300+ on a title i dont want to have to download a 500mb or 1gb patch for it to work, it should work out of the box. With the exception of S.T.A.L.K.E.R i can't think of one title i didn't mind patching.

Im with you on this one bro. The thread is an indication, if they user then decides to buy it anyways it remains their choice. I don't even look at games that score under 7 in a mag like nag or an 8 in Edge. The price of games isn't R200 anymore and spending R500+ on a title that isn't worth that is unnecessary.

@Wenzdayz: Why would you buy Prison Tycoon in the first place? Thats like buying MS Train Simulator.

I find that COD Waw is more realistic than MW. I love the game but you also get a lot of people that don't like it... That is probably why you now get two streams of the COD series, to cater for both WW and MW fans.
