Games that define a childhood

Speaking of Lucas Arts, KOTOR!

One of the best action RPG's of its time IMO. AND It's star wars.

And up until recently, I did not realise BioWare had a role to play it. And all of BioWare's games today I love.

More on Lucas Arts, the Jedi Academy games. They were much fun.

Aww man, all the memories...

My gaming childhood will always be remember by titles like:

Micro Machines, T.I.M, Space Quest all on our old 486
Super Mario Bro's 3, Contra, Paperboy, Top Gun, and various other "TV-Games"
TFX - a title that birthed in me a love for flying, and subsequently why I got into Flight Simulator 95
Deus Ex, Half Life, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, Delta Force, Counter Strike - all these I spent way too much time on, and played them all the time in Computer class in school.

What about Lucas art quest games and eagle eye detectives or Gunship 2000. Lots moreissing on that list.

I *loved* Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was also great.

They would go in an additional category below the honourable mention category, though. I loved them, but I'm not sure I would say they necessarily helped define my childhood. YMMV, of course.

Ya me too. Although the graphics seemed much better in my memory of them

Truth be told, defining my childhood would more be games like Pacman and Xain'd Sleena. Remember, "borrowing" 20c's from my fathers drawer to play these games.

Then on my Commodore it was Druid and Howard Duck. My first pc(20mb hdd), came with Space Quest 3 and Leisure suite larry in the land of the lounge lizzards.

Do you remember playing Pacman on this?

Dude I wanted one of these so bad when I was a kid. I got this other weird blue hand-held where planes crash down on the deck of a ship and you have to shoot them down before they do.

OH MY WORD!!! I know that thing!!! I had that thing!!! It was awesome. Seriously can't remember the name but all I can remember is playing it almost non-stop when we went to Durban for a family vacation waaaaay back then.
