Dear god please no, the amount of hackers is high enough as it is, free to play would mean, hack, get banned, create new account, and just hack again with no real punishment to the end user, at least if the user has to drop 15dollars each time he gets banned, he'll stop sooner rather than later

Then you would know that the initial price is irrelevant to the article or the evaluation as a free to play game but instead its the content. I think based on the content etc that CS could make a great free to play game.
