Gaming as a professional career?

Flex

Will lift for boobs!
So for those who were following the Dota 2 Ti 2016 will know how huge the Dota 2 competition was this year.
The prize pool was a whopping $20+ Million ! The winning team ( Wings Gaming ), walked away with $9.1 Million. That is a pretty good day at the office I would say. That amounts to ZAR 122621590.00.

Even though there are not many of these huge competitions each year, there are smaller ones through out the year.
So just like an athlete, they train for huge competitions but will compete in smaller competition to keep a steady flow of income. This is seen more and more over the world and gamers and their federations are being taken more seriously than ever.

If you want to know exactly how the DOTA 2 Ti 2016 went down, then go check THIS article .

So just like an athlete

Exactly like an athlete. Professional gaming is a massive industry overseas, with top players becoming millionaires after tournaments and training for hours very day.

The gaming industry is bigger than the film and music industry combined, and the overseas it is completely reasonable to pursue a career in gaming It is also a very respected career in some Asian countries.

eSports are growing like crazy over here too, and I'm really excited to see where it goes :)
