Just for my own personal interest, how many of you are using controllers on your pc's and what kind?

I have a xbox 360 controller hooked up and honestly i think most of the games i played would have been less enjoyable without it, when i think about getting dark souls in the next few months i cant imagine playing it without one

Depends on what sort of games you want to play if having a controller is better or not. I had a Logitech one, which I used to play stuff like Assassin's creed, and a controller works way better for those sort of games, but if you're playing say online FPS games, you'd be putting yourself at a big disadvantage using a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse.

I think the xbox controller is the most universally compatible controller to use in terms of built in support in games though

I also play with a XBOX360 controller now, use to play with a logitech one but got fed up with having to emulate it everytime so I went out and ordered two black controllers (the ones with the redesigned d-pad). I play all console ports with a gamepad now, and leave my mouse for games like HoN/Starcraft and Diablo. Online fps just not worth it on 3G....

Using x360 controller, before that Logitech something.

I have an xbox controller for my pc. I think I have used it about 3 times in the past 6 months. My gf uses it when she plays the occasional game of fifa or dirt with me. Split screen ftw

where did you guys get your wired xbox controllers when I wanted to purchase a controller all i could find at a reasonable price was the wireless one on takealot, not that im complaining it works brilliantly. i just want to suggest one to a friend and compare the two.

I play most games on PC with a Xbox 360 controller. It's only FPS, RTS and dungeon crawler titles that I'd use the Mouse + K/B config.

Logitech Rumblepad II, still going strong. Just use the x360ce app for compatibility and it works perfectly.

I'm trying to get a PS3 controller to work Wirelesly, works well via the a cable. It works great wireless on my laptops bluetooth but I haven't got a bluetooth dongle for my pc yet.

FPS Keyboard and mouse but everything else Wired 360 controller , I think its a given the 360 controller is better suited for PC gaming.

I bought an R80 controller with a USB and PS2 connector. I used it for NFS: Underground, the one you drift on? That was it, really....

PS3 controller tethered via USB. It can emulate a 360 controller perfectly if needed. I wanted to get the 360 controller but can't justify it at the moment if I have three PS3 controllers that can do the same thing.
